Question: Are all non-muslims really going to hell?

I was wondering because why all of them ?!! I mean what if there're good people in them? Because I come from Arabian descents and I know very well that there so many bad muslims out there (that's what my mother told me) yet at the end their place will be heaven. I mean just because they were born muslims then they're going to heaven?! They spent no single piece of effort in this! And now good non-muslims who are thousand times better-behaving than those bad muslims are going to jihannam (hell) ?! I know Allah (SWT) is always fair, and so I was wondering this and wanted to ask about it maybe you guys know more about it.

Jazak Allahu Khairan:)

Here isn´t any proof that "bad muslims" would go to the heaven either. No difference if they are born muslims or reverts. I think we all are on the same line at the Day of Judgement. Our birth doesn´t mean anything, just how we spent our lives.

And what about good non-muslims then? Well, that´s the other thing. Here have been similar discussions about that matter before. Maybe you could read them at the first. Only I can say that it will become long discussion.

1 : we born all muslims
2-"Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him, and He forgives what is besides this to whom He pleases; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he indeed strays off into a remote error". (An-nisa:116)

Just a short answer , because it's a long discussion .

Assalam O Alaikum sister ..... those muslims who do sins , they will go in jahnum for specific time not permanent because they knows that ALLAH IS ONE AND ONLY GOD. Non muslims do many good things for example give charity.. help others etc but they do not go in JANNAH because they don't believe in ALLAH , they don't believe in Muhammad PBUH as a last Prophet and they don't believe in Quran... ALLAH says in Quran
Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.(98:6)

Fear the Fire, which is repaired for those who reject Faith:(3:131)

But those who disobey Allah and His Messenger and transgress His limits will be admitted to a Fire, to abide therein: And they shall have a humiliating punishment.(4:14)

If anyone contends with the Messenger even after guidance has been plainly conveyed to him, and follows a path other than that becoming to men of Faith, We shall leave him in the path he has chosen, and land him in Hell,- what an evil refuge.(4:115)

JazakALLAH khair....

Thanks alot, brothers and sisters
But... what if they don't "reject" it ? maybe they just never really thought about? Does this have to do anything that Allah (SWT) can forgive them??

Dear sister, if we study Quran , we find that Allah subhanahu wa taaala is perfectly just, on the day of judgment no one will be wronged . Each human will get in accordance to what he/she believe and did.

And Allah created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.

wa'aleykumas-salaam warahmatul-lahi wabarakatuh.

"And those who disbelieve, their deeds are as a mirage in a desert, which the thirsty man deems to be water, until, when he comes to it, he finds it naught, and he finds Allah with him, so He pays him his due. And Allah is Swift at reckoning"{Q24:39}...

"The parable of those who disbelieve in their Lord: Their works are as ashes on which the wind blows hard on a stormy day. They have no power over aught they have earned. That is straying far away"{Q14:18}...

Here you can find very clearly that the deeds of disbelievers are just an illusion and their rewards are short-termed as was the intentions and purposes for doing them.Confirming the Hadith of the prophet{s.a.w}that the reward of deeds depends upon the intentions.A muslim does the good deed for the sake of Allah while the disbelievers for sure do not do so.
However, disbelievers might get a reward for their deeds in this world and they most certainly do but they have no luck in the Hereafter as indicated by the Hadith of the prophet{s.a.w} that Allah gives this world to whomever He wills{those whom He loves and those He does not} but;the Hereafter; He gives it only those He loves.
And if you do not believe in the existence of a chest how can you claim any wealth in it, similarly if you disbelieve in Day of Judgement how can you claim to have any account of goodness to be reckon with on that Day.

Do good deed and you open an account of goodness{for the day of judgement},disbelieve and it all goes vain..."And certainly, it has been revealed to thee and to those before thee: If thou associate (with Allah), thy work would certainly come to naught and thou wouldst be a loser."{Q39:65}

Wa'aleykumas-salaam warahmatul-Lahi wabarakatuh.

for any one who did not get the messege of oneness of Allah,Allah says,"...and WE never punish anyone untill we send a messenger for Him"{Q17:15}...
And come on the day of judgement Allah will test their obedience,if they obey{they would have obeyed in the previous life} and if they don't then they rejected it in their previous lives as stated by the Hadith of al-Aswad ibn saree, who reported that the prophet{s.a.w}said,"There are four (who will protest) to Allaah on the Day of Resurrection: the deaf man who never heard anything, the insane man, the very old man, and the man who died during the fatrah (the interval between the time of ‘Eesaa (Jesus, upon whom be peace) and the time of Muhammad SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)). The deaf man will say, ‘O Lord, Islam came but I never heard anything.’ The insane man will say, ‘O Lord, Islam came but the children ran after me and threw stones at me.’ The very old man will say, ‘O Lord, Islam came but I did not understand anything.’ The man who died during the fatrah will say, ‘O Lord, no Messenger from You came to me.’ He will accept their promises of obedience, then word will be sent to them to enter the Fire. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if they enter it, it will be cool and safe for them.”{ Saheeh al-Jaami’, 881}.

Thus,Allah will test their obedience if they obey Him in jumping into the Fire they surely would have obeyed Him in the previous life and if they refuse then they can't help it as they have disbelieved in the previous life...Allah knows best about His creation and He is Just to all His creation. Assalammu Alaikum Sister. You asked in an earlier post about those people who died without sufficient exposure to Islam and what is their predicament likely to be in the afterlife. First, I am not a scholar, so I may make mistakes in my responses and for this I apologise in advance.

What I have heard is that two types of Non Muslims will be exempted from the regular or normal maxims of trial for this world. They are the absolutely insane (that is those who do not know they exist and hence cannot be expected to make rational and intelligent choices about anything) and second those who live or have lived in places of the world where the knowledge of Islam (even the name itself) had not or has not reached. These include the jungles, the desert plains, distant and remote villages where the people are far away from the nearest semblance of what (to use a western concept) can be deemed to be 'civilisation'.

Those who fall into these two categories will be made aware of what Islam is on the Day of Judgement and then asked to make their choice of either embracing Islam or not. Those insane will be given some intelligence and those with no 'civilised' intelligence will be given sufficient understanding to also make a choice. I do not know how much intelligence, timeframe or understanding will be given to both groups to help them decide because it has not been mentioned in any text or Ahadith, so please don't ask me.

As to asking or making dua for your grandmother, the Prophet (SAW) made a personal request to visit his mother's grave and to pray for her. He was given permission for the first request, but refused the second. As far as your grandmother's personal situation is concerned and what was in her heart and mind at the time of death, Allah knows best. You are still permitted to think good of her, to do things for the family she left behind and overall to have a good opinion of her. But we leave her fate and her lasting abode in the Hereafter in the Hands of the Creator Himself, who is the Best Judge of all things and people and for all time.

I too had this question on my mind, my parents, sister, dear grand.parents..all christians. Good people, who would not hurt a fly with bad intention.
To be muslim is a big challenge.
We are all at different spiritual levels, Allah knows best, for some is easier to open up and see the light of islam, for some is not so easy. But you can never ever doubt that Allah is just. He is Just, He is Kind. There is alot out there, what we cant reach with our mind. I think is cruel to make statistics about who goes to Hell or Heaven. Is not in our power to be perfect muslims, or perfect humans for those unreached by islam, but is in our power to have the best intentions and as far as I read in islam, intentions count. Alot. And there is hope, for everyone.
All the best. Wa salam

Yes sister this is the starting point of Islam believing in the absolute perfect justice , mercy , kindness, love, compassion of our creator. Then let our mind rest , all the creation is within supreme mercy and justice. All we need to do is to tell about Islam and hearts are in the hands of Allah.

Well, I don't believe God is religion, God transcends all religion. God asks we love and worship Him in truth and sincerity, that we always strive to obey the laws He gave for our guidance. That we live our lives always to His glory. Those that do are His beloved.. ALL those you do love Him are His beloved. To believe otherwise is to believe God is not just or merciful or loving or forgiving. The God I love and worship is all of these things. Belief and trust in God alone.

Maybe we go to different heaven. :) Yeshua said His fathers house had many rooms and He will prepare one for His sheep (christians) maybe muslims have a different room in a different heaven. I know my room is ready and waiting... You only have a hope. :)

So don't be worried for christian brothers and sisters we will be ok. This we know for a certainty.

And they were not commanded except to worship God :Allah , [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah (charity ) And that is the correct religion.

Hello a_stranger.. Bible say the same.:) Except I don't think religion is given importance . Only Seven times in the Bible, is the word "religion" mentioned. Of these six of those times it is in a bad connotation. The only time that religion is mentioned, with a good connotation, is in James 1:27 where the Apostle says, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." That is the only time in all the Bible where the word "religion" is mentioned as something good. We must only put our trust in God.. Not religion. If one strips away the "traditions" built around religion it comes down to basic one thing. Trust in God because all things come from God He alone is our sustainer. That trust in God is the same in all religions. So if we trust in Him, we also love Him as matter of course.. If we Love Him then we worship Him in truth and sincerity, we live our lives to His glory if we do that we don't want to sin because we know sin separates us from God. Yeshua never brought a religion, He never gave us christianity. He gave us the WAY to God. God loves us so much He gave us Yeshua by Him we are made right so we can stand repentant before God.

But that is for me, as I see it. You of course see different but one thing the same and for me I believe it's the only thing that truly counts... Is we trust in God alone.

Peace unto you

Yes [on the contrary], whoever submits his face in Islam to Allah (The one and only God) while being a doer of good will have his reward with his Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.
