    Being muslim..

I know you said "I dont think he has a problem with him", but I was asking You why do you have a problem with Hamza Yusuf? And about the Quran and Sunnah, of course the Quran and sunnah are what we follow, but we can't blatantly try and understand it if we have no knowledge. We have to learn...

    Being muslim..

Ok, seriously, what are you talking about...? We all follow the Quran and Sunnah (including Hamza Yusuf), otherwise how can we call ourselves Muslims? Why do you have a problem with him?

    Being muslim..

Just realised that my post did go through...silly me! The fitrah is to be able to receive the message of Islam (Yes), but that doesn't mean we are born Muslim (these things have to be learnt!) Religion has to be learnt and then practiced, it doesn't just happen.

    Being muslim..

My reply doesn't seem to have gone through. Anyway, I would have to totally disagree with you on that, Hamza Yusuf is probably one of the best scholars around these days.

    Being muslim..

I most definite;y have to disagree with you. People like Hamza Yusuf or the best scholars around these days. I think the sources you learn from are going to be totally different from where I learn from, so I'd like to stop here insha allah.

    Being muslim..

To be honest, I don't really know what to show you. This is what I have learnt from certain shaykhs. I also read it in Shaykh Hamza Yusuf's book "Purification of the heart". But, can you please show me evidence of fitrah meaning being a Muslim, I'd like to know where people are getting this...

    Being muslim..

Bismillah Assalaamu alaikum. When your born, you're not born a Muslim, you're born with the fitra. Some people wrongly interpret this as 'being born a Muslim', that's not what it means. Being born in the state of fitrah is being born in a way where you are able to recieve the prophetic...

This was passed around about a week and a half ago, and things have changed now because of the response of many vegetarians. I know my post is long, but please read it all... Anyway, this was an email I received when we first heard that these chocolates were no longer suitable for...

Can someone answer this question plz? :D

Bismillah Assalaamu alaikum. Everything happens according to Allah's will, and noone or nothing can overpower Allahs will. We have a free will - yes, however this can never contradict Allah's will. So when we say we have a free will, it means that whatever situation we're in, we either...

    Cadbury & Nestle Chocolates

Bismillah. Assalaamu alaikum. Nestle products, like other companies have certain things that are halaal and other's that are haraam. I think most the chocolates are halaal. But can't remember all of the ones that are halaal. The best thing to do is to ring them or go on their website, and...

    Someone please help!

I'm happy to hear that you are thinking about converting. Firstly, in Islam, it is not ok to have boyfriends, girlfriends, because this is not the way, you have to be married to have a relationship of that sort. Secondly, our religion does not teach us to neglect anyone, Islam is beautiful...

    characteristics of God

Allah Everything happens according to Allah's will. You can't say Allah is not capable of making mistakes and therefore he is imperfect, saying that the doesn't make mistakes does not mean that He is incapable of doing something, because who makes mistakes? It is the creation that makes...

    Does Allah have eyes?

Allah does NOT have eyes. Assalaamu alaikum. Allah does not have eyes. He sees everything and is aware of everything, but this does not mean he has eyes. Only created beings have eyes and Allah is not similar to the creation in any of his attributes. His are the attributes of perfection...
