He was the hero of many people all over the globe. His lectures are very strong and motivational and have bought many people out of darkness. I recommend everyone to listen to watch his lectures. I agree with you, he was not planning to go in to preaching and teaching Islam he was trader but Allah planned something better for him, Just looking at him when he was sick make me think Subhan Allah, with his sickness Allah forgive his sins too inshallah, our Ummah need people like him again and again. One of the scholar who is going on the foot step Sheikh Ahmed Deedat is DR. ZAKIR NAIK - I usually call him Junior Ahmed Deedat.
