The women of Islam(Documentary)

A documentary about women in Islam it examines women status from historical prespective and in the modren world, talking to women from different part of the world ....

My comments...
It really shows what the women in some Islamic countries think of the Hijab, if its not taken as a command from Allah but just as a custom, once the people take the Quran and prophet command as a tradition it losses its value, they following order of Allah but just a tradition.
on other hand it shows that there are women who are proud of the hijab as command from Allah S.W.T going to universits and learning like a normal person, its the ignorance of the west which always show the hijab in wrong image.

I've read somewhere that if a woman is in fear of her life for wearing it, she doesn't have to wear it.

Wonderful video. As it said in the video, the main point is to dress modestly.

"And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands..."

But I suppose that people can read this in different ways too. Intention is what is most important and Allah knows best.
