Assalamu Alaikum,
I wanted to share a very educational talk given by Dr.Jamal Zarabozo towards the end of Ramadan. In it he points out that we should turn to Quran not only to recite it but also to ponder over its meaning and to reflect on its guidance so as to truly realize it in our life. Of course, reading Qur'an is the best and it is the only way we could seek right path. Allaah swt started the Qur'an with the word, "READ". So the meaning of READ does not mean to just read what is written on Mushaf - paper.

The meaning of the word "READ" is much more than reading. Everyone knows that, still it is better to remind. READ the Qur'an with the meaning then only it will guide the reader to the right path. Otherwise it will be like a parrot talking what it hears.
