Allaah said in the Qur'an:
Allaah will not forgive the sin of associating something with Him; but He will forgive the lesser sins to whomsoever He pleases. (Holy Qur'an 4:48)

Allaah's Apostle sallallaahu alaihi wasallam (Peace and blessings of Allaah be on him) said:
Whoever meets Allaah on the Day of Judgement not having associated anything with Him, shall enter paradise; and whoever meets Him having done the contrary shall be consigned to hell. (Sahih Muslim. Narrated by Jaabir Radhiyallaahu anhu)

May Allaah show all of us the straight path; the path of those whom He has favoured.
