Salaam Sister Chloe.

Nice to meet a fellow Mancunian :) With regards to praying and learning Arabic I suggest you E.mail [email protected] they have a place In manchester which help people learn the proper way to recite the quran using Tajweed and its Strictly Women only! Please e.mail them and ask them where they are based in manchester and also when they have their sessions!

Wish you all the best and Happy Ramadan :)

Welcome, sister Chloe, to Islam and to this forum. Hope to hear from you often.

According to this website, the name Chloe means "Blooming!" That's a beautiful name. It carries no connotation that would be contradicting the teachings of Islam. Therefore, you do not have to change it.

As for memorizing the words of the prayers, you can read them from a piece of paper you hold in your hands until you commit them to memory.

thank you for this i am so glad i do not have to change my name as i like my name and it is the name which my parents give me as to your advice i will take it in thanks
