1 doubt

well, my sister had a doubt regarding itakaaf....
can any one tell me that can we do itakaaf only from isha to fajr?

i found two opinions.

1. in hanafi school, women can do itikaf @ home and also for brief period of time. so frm isha to fajr should be fine. Allah knows best.

2. women can do itikaaf only in masjid.

No, Rasulullah صلى الله عليه و سلم even been visited by his wife when I'tikaf, then he accompanied her out of the mosque.

There is no specific time limit for I'tikaf, as well as the shari'ah is not limit, and it is the opinion of Al-Imam Ash-Shafi'i, Ahmad, and other scholars. Even narrated from Abu Hanifa legitimate I'tikaf although only 1 hour. Is mean that you can i'tikaf isha to fajr.

In general, I'tikaf is staying in the mosque with the intention of worship to Allah, although there are some requirements that disputed among scholars
