Football game between the Egyptians and the Algerians turned out to shear and a political boycott and the withdrawal of the Egyptian ambassador from Algeria, the siege of the Egyptian businessmen and Egyptian investors in Algeria..

Rather than rush in good Deeds and obedience to Allaah and learn forensic science and learn the Arabic language

This disgusts me. I live in an area not far at all from at least 3 premier league football stadiums, and I haven't seen the drunk non-Muslims who drink pints of alcohol as they watch, behave more excited over small game than the Algerian Muslims, and the noise they created yesterday. Their car horns were blazing for hours on end, I thought I was in Egypt once again... But it wasn't a wedding sadly... just a damn, pathetic football match which has led to this humiliating boycott!

:wasalam: Yesterday me and my friend were at the mosque. Whilst praying we could constantly hear cars beeping, it was annoying. I knew that Algeria won because the area has many algerians. Also, when we left the mosque there were fireworks going off.

Football is a great game but drinking and other sins that came after the match
are something else.I'm really desappointed with egyptians brothers , this country
is going to divide like Turkey if continous so.I mean the most population.
I know we are a guided country Albania,Kosovo,Bosnia,Macedonia etc.
I'm so desappointed with islam we took from turks (othomans) because they
left so many bidiah's here and today we are paying it.I've recently heard that
In Cairo women can't wear hijab in the university. Is that true?

Akhi, I just came back from living in Cairo. Whenever I passed the Women's Faculty of Al-Azhar University, I saw nothing but hijaabs walhamdulillaah, most not correct but it's better than no hijaabs. I think the information you have is mixed up with the stupidity of At-Tantawi who is trying to ban the niqaab, after he felt outraged (more like proud and arrogant) over a young girl lowering her niqaab upon seeing him. May Allaah guide him.

No, brother, you're mistaken. We don't have people who drink after watching the match. We do however have lots of excited Egyptians going out on the streets and beeping with their car horns and making lots of noise and cheering for Egypt. In fact, all the city (excluding very few, myself included :D) was out on the streets that it took most people hours to get back to home cause that's how excited everyone was that it was so crowded. :) At least that was the day we won, before the match in Sudan. That was a whole other issue (the match that was played in Sudan), everyone was at their homes watching the TV waiting for news that the Egyptians have returned back to Egypt uninjured. :)
