Asalaamu Alaikum,

Some Scholars (Muslim one's) themselves don't believe that the Moon was split during the Prophet(pbuh)'s time and that it was a reference to the Moon splitting on Judgement Day.

There is a CRACK on the Moon, but I think Scientists believe it was from asteroids.

I am not learned in this field though, i'd suggest you do some research on it, or someone else with knowledge can enlighten us better.

There's a crack on it so I don't know why they wouldn't believe in it. But knowing them they probably just don't think it was a result of Divine Intervention (which it was).

walikumsalam, im sure there is a crack on the moon, you can see there a line going through with a powerfull microscope or close up images of the moon, but even if its true they will deny it to be the miricle of our prophet (pbuh).and i dont think they would advertise it either, these things are always kept hidden from the publics.

:salam2:,

if a scientist is a beliver, he will believe whether he can see the cracks or not.

if he is not a believer, no matter how many cracks he see, he will not believe.

Wa alaykum asalaam,

Asalaamu Alaikum,

I don't mean the Hadiths, I mean the Quranic reference. Where it talks about -

Verse 54:1-2 of the Qur'an reads: "The hour drew nigh and the moon did rend asunder. And if they see a miracle they turn aside and say: Transient magic."

I've read some Scholars believe this is refering to the Day of Judgement. Although I can't source you since this was a long time ago, I admit that I am unlearned in this subject.

It does refer to some translators here who mention this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Splitting_of_the_moon

This is also good to give more depth about the miracle - http://www.islamic-life.com/forums/...hies/moon-split-miracle-prophet-muhammad-1419

Allah(swt) Knows best.

Ah I see your point, but I believe the miracle of the moon splitting is still affirmed in Hadith..right?
