MAKE DUA for shaykh Abdullah al-Aqeel

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullah.

There is some news about shaykh Abdullah ibn Abdul-Azeez al-Aqeel (hafidahullah), that he is in coma. Some problems with his health, Allahu a'lam. He is about 95 years old! He is the only one who is alive from the famous students of the great scholar Abdurrahman as-Sa'di (rahimahullah), who wrote "Tafsir as-Sa'di".

Shaykh Abdullah bin Aqeel is the IMAM of HANABILAH of our time.
May Allah preserve him!

Abdullah bin Amr bin Al Aas (ra) narrates:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people, but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men till when none of the (religious learned men) remains, people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray." Bukhari 1.100

aselemu aleikum, we should indeed take this serious..whenever a sheikh, a scholar, an imam is in need of our dua, we should make dua for them inmediately,.we need them very much..

Shaykh 'Abdullah bin 'Al-'Aqeel (rahimahullaah) has pased away

Shaikh `Abdullah bin `Aqeel (rahimahullah) has passed away

Innaa Lillaahi Wa Innaa Ilayhi Raajioon, One of the greatest senior scholar of Sa'udi Arabia namely Shaikh `Abdullah bin `Aqeel (rahimahullah) has passed away. He was one of the last remaining students of Shaykh Abdur Rahmaan Ibn Nasir As-Sa'dee, who was the main teacher of Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen (rahimahumullah).

The Shaykh would spend the 'white days' of every month in Makkah, making Umrah, fasting, teaching and entertaining his students and guests in his room. May Allah have mercy on him, he would be fasting in the mid-summer, in the Haram in the non-AC section, teaching students before and after the prayers, without complaining once. Despite of his old age and weakness, he would insist on praying standing.

May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala have mercy and grant Jannatul Firdaus to all of the shuyukh that have left us, aameen.

Our beloved Sheikh 'Abdullah bin 'Abdul 'Azeez al 'Aqeel returned to his Lord today. We ask Allah to have mercy on him and forgive him. The Sheikh will be prayed over on Wednesday after salat al 'Asr in Riyadh city.

Insha Allah, within a few days I will compile something small related to the time we spent with the Sheikh. A summarized biography can also be found on this blog.
