Aqeddah(creed) is the FIRST and MOST IMPORTANT matter every Muslim should perfect when it comes to his religion.

It is Better to Meet Allah with Mountains of Sins... then to meet him with a Distorted and Faulty Aqeedah full of Shirk and Innovations.

The majority think they have the correct Aqeedaa and pay no heed to its study... They are in reality those who have the worst understanding of the Deen.

Each content listed below are different from the other and address the MOST important of issues related to YOUR DEEN and its Security.


What or Who is Salaf?
The manhaj (methodology) of the Salaf is to adhere to the Qur'aan and the authentic Sunnah as understood by the Salaf as-Saalih. The word Salaf is a shortened version of the word 'Salaf as-Saalih', which means the 'Righteous Predecessors'.

It refers specifically to the first three generations of Islaam in which the Prophet Muhammad (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) described as being the best generations of Muslims. The first, the Prophet (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and his Sahaabah (companions). The second, the Taabi'een (the followers of the companions). The third, the Tabaa'at-Taabi'een (the followers of the followers of the companions).

Generally, this term refers to all those pious predecessors who followed the way of the Salaf and who have preceded us in time. This is the true manhaj of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jamaa'ah.

1.Sharh us-Sunnah of Imam Al-Barbahaaree (rahimahullah) (329H)

This classic work consists of points on different aspects of the Muslim creed, with quotes from the the Qur.aan, the Sunnah, the Companions and later scholars. The author was an imaam who stood firm in defending this creed in the face of enmity and opposition from the people of innovation, may Allaah have mercy on him.

I tried to convert Sharh us-Sunnah of Imam Al-Barbahaaree (rahimahullah) to .doc for you but due to some reason its not exporting properly and its text seem a bit technical also. So if you can, i'll suggest listening to these lectures first:

The Three Principles (Al Usool Ath Thalaathah) by Muhammad ibn Abdil Wahhaab, coveres the three questions we will be asked in our graves once we die:

“WHO IS YOUR LORD? WHAT IS YOUR RELIGION? WHO IS YOUR PROPHET?”

Shaykh Saalih al Fawzaan said in his explanation of the book:

So before us is this treatise – the treatise “The Three Fundamental Principles” – and it is a tremendous treatise which is brief, supported by evidences from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of his Messenger sall Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.

And this small treatise is about a tremendous fundamental matter from the fundamentals of Islaam, and it is ‘aqeedah – creed and belief. And the scholars give importance to these brief works, authoring them and exerting themselves in keeping them brief and refining them; then they would encourage their students to memorise them so that they should remain fundamental assets for them and a store of provision for them from which they can derive benefit, and through which they bring benefit to others.

And beginning with these shorter works is the foundation for the students of knowledge, so the student of knowledge should begin by learning little by little, taking from the initial points of knowledge and its fundamentals and then proceeding in stages through it.

Lumatul Ittiqaad by Imaam Ibn Qudaamah al-Maqdisee (rahimahullaah)

This is a beginner’s book of aqeedah (creed and belief) compiled hundreds of years ago by Ibn Qudaamah al Maqdisee and studied up to the present day.

Shaykh al Uthaymeen said about it:

In this book, the author, may Allaah have Mercy on him, gathered together the main points of aqeedah (creed and belief). For this reason, the Board of the Educational Institutes assigned this book to be studied and taught during the second semester of the first year of study (roughly corresponds to early secondary school level), so that it may serve as a pillar upon which one can establish his aqeedah at this stage.

Because I saw the importance of this book in terms of the topics it touches upon, its methodology and the lack of there being any explanation of it, I became determined, while seeking assistance from Allaah and hoping that He grant me correctness in intention and action, to put forth some words about it, in the attempt to clarify its ambiguous points, explain its meanings and bring to light its main points.

These are audio recordings of Abu Talhah’s lessons . There are about 70 lessons in total, and the translator adds in some quotes from the other explanations of the book by the salafee scholars.

There are LUMATUL ITTIQAAD Questions and Answers designed to accompany these audio recordings. Written by Nasser ibn Najam, checked by Abu Talhah Dawood Burbank rahimahullaah, they contain 200 pages of detailed questions, as well as footnotes containing additional quotes from the scholars.

'Aqeedat-ut-Tahaawiyyah


Al Aqeedatut Tahawiyyah, written Imaam Abu Ja’far At Tahaawee (died 321AH) is a core book of aqeedah (creed and belief).

Shaykh Saalih al Fawzaan’s explanation of it can be listened to in English, translated by Abu Talhah Dawood Burbank rahimahullaah. The translator presents additional points from Shaykh al Albaani’s comments on Ibn Abil ‘Izz’s explanation too. The 60 lessons are about an hour long each. This translation is characterised by the precision that Abu Talhah became renowned for in all his translations. It is no exaggeration to say these – and the other audio recordings on www.ittibaa.com by the same translator – are amongst the best translations of Islamic material into the English language in the world.

To accompany the audio lessons are a set of TAHAWIYYAH Questions and Answers prepared by Nasser ibn Najam, and checked by Abu Talhah. The Q&A set, although comprehensive, is somewhat smaller than those for Lumatul Ittiqaad and the Three Principles for those wishing to start with a shorter document from which to study.
