The sailors and marines are from HMS Cornwall
Fifteen British Navy personnel have been captured at gunpoint by Iranian forces, the Ministry of Defence says.

The men were seized at 1030 local time when they boarded a boat in the Gulf, off the coast of Iraq, which they suspected was smuggling cars.

The Royal Navy said it was doing everything it could to secure the release of the sailors and marines who are based on HMS Cornwall.

They were said to be carrying out a routine patrol in Iraqi waters.

The Ministry of Defence said: "The group boarding party had completed a successful inspection of a merchant ship when they and their two boats were surrounded and escorted by Iranian vessels into Iranian territorial waters.

Several days ago several Iranian Diplomats as the Iranians call them or Revoltionary Guards as the Americans call them were seized in Iraq. It could be that the Iranians are using the UK sailors as trade for their people

I just think which is more important... that those UK soldiers are part of those kafiirs of USA whose have murdered so many our brothers and sisters in Iraq or that they captures are from Iran?

i am a british TA solider and seening what has happened has made me very mad and like people have said b4...

if iran was to force the US and UK into a conflict ... i will just ending in bloodshed in iran... the US Still have another 8 million marines ready and us brits still have 100,000 TA Reserves and an SAS Regiment... so i doubt iran will wont to provoke the US or UK

I like thew way you think sister. It's just like me! You know, there are a lot of Sunni rulers like in Suadi and Jordan and Egypt, but even if they're Sunni, they are Munafiqs in helping George Bush. That naked molerat :angryblue:.
And it seems like the Shia rulers are doing a lot better for the Muslims. For example, Mahmoud Ahmedinajad (Iran) and Hassan Nasrallah (Hezbollah). May Allah guide both of them to the true path Ameen.
But seriously! I've seen more Shia rulers that help Muslims, Sunni and Shia alike, as well as the Munafiqeen rulersx like "Abdullah" of Jordan and Suadi.

Actually brother Saqlawi, I said Mohmad and Nasrallah becuase they are the ones who have the guts to challenge George Bush and so does Al Zawahiri. It's kind of amusing how they all say things to Bush and those who insult Islam.

Like Al Zawahiri told Bush "Why didn't you think of sending 50 thousand more troops or 100 thousand isnstead of 20 thousand? The insurgents will beat them all."
And during Ashura this year, Hassan Nasrallah was giving Dawah to a large group of supporters and he started tallking about how Bush wants the Sunni and Shia muslims to fight and kill each other.
Mahmoud Ahmadinajad says things like, "Death to the Zionist Regime" or something like "Death to Damiel Pipes" (The one who made cartoons of our prophet.

Iran can challenge the US because the US is now caught up in Iraq, and the US is benefiting partially from Iran's involvement in Iraq. Iran would not have challenged the US had the US been able to do anything.

Iran and Syria have a defence pact.They are in a favourable position.Moreover, They have support of Russia and China.A war would mean that most Arab nations would also support Iran and Syria including the Turkish, Egyptian etc. intelligence agencies, but then I pray that may Allah help us to put an end to this war.We need to stop the war spreading at all cost because a wider war would mean that the corrupt would gain more power than ever b4 and that the number of innocent victims would increase.

Why dont we all just stop it and make dua that we are all guided on the siratul mustaqeem (inc hayward bush and blair....nowt is impossible) and that all people both muslim and non muslm can sop beng killed and that we can all get on.

Why is there so much anger......it destroys the heart.....make dua and be calmer about the whole situation. Anger is what causes us to do silly tings.....and to lose control. As muslims we should inshallah always try to be in control.

Besides....all the non muslims who are reading this thread have probably been put off islam by some people's silly reactions.

As I have said over and over again, it is peoples actions tha bring us to islam. If someone hadn't have shown me kindness and consideration, may not have become muslim.
