Question about Arabic grammar in Quran

Greetings Brothers and sisters,

I have a question for you.

In Surah 41:30-31 when it says you can have "whatever you want"..... "whatever you desire", does the rules Arabic grammar make those phrases modify this world or the hereafter?

I believe it probably refers to the hereafter, but I found an article on line saying it applies to this life.

Please break down in detail. Thanks.

Assalaamu alaikum.

here is the verse in my Qur'an:

31. "We are your friends in the life of this (present) world, as well as in the Aakhirah. There (in jannah) you shall have whatever your heart desires, and you shall have whatever you ask for."

and ALLAH knows best.

Assalaamu alaikum

Can I get it broken down grammatically as to why the promises to get what you want refer to the afterlife and not now?

Thanks.
