Who is Allah ?

(255) Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kurs extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

(29) 29 - It is he who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover his design comprehended the heavens, for he gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things he hath perfect knowledge.

(6) - He it is who shapes you in the wombs as he pleases. there is no God but he, the exalted in might, the wise.

(1) O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear All h, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed All h is ever, over you, an Observer.

(19) He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out

(20) 20 - Among His Signs is this, that He created you from dust; and then, behold, ye are men scattered (far and wide)!

(21) 21 - And among His signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are signs for those who reflect.

(22) 22 - And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are signs for those who know.

(23) 23 - And among His Signs is the sleep that ye take by night and by day, and the quest that ye (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are signs for those who hearken.

(24) 24 - And among His Signs, he shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: Verily in that are Signs for those who are wise.

Surah 30

(25) 25 - And among His Signs is this, that heaven and earth stand by His Command: then when He calls you, by a single call, from the earth, behold, ye (straightway) come forth.

(26) 26 - To Him belongs every being that is in the heavens and on earth: all are devoutly obedient to Him.

(27) 27 - It is He Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; and for Him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest similitude (we can think of) in the heavens and the earth: for He is Exalted in Might, full of wisdom.

Surah 30

(40) Allah is the one who created you, then provided for you, then will cause you to die, and then will give you life. Are there any of your "partners" who does anything of that? Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him

(48) It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoic

(49) Although they were, before it was sent down upon them - before that, in despair

(50) So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent

Surah 30

(54) Allah is the one who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength, then made after strength weakness and white hair. He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Competent

(3) The forgiver of sin, acceptor of repentance, severe in punishment, owner of abundance. There is no deity except Him; to Him is the destination

Surah 40

(12) It is He who shows you lightening, [causing] fear and aspiration, and generates the heavy clouds.. Ar-Rad (The Thunder

(13) And the thunder exalts [ Allah ] with praise of Him - and the angels [as well] from fear of Him - and He sends thunderbolts and strikes therewith whom He wills while they dispute about Allah ; and He is severe in assault.

Surah 13

(13) It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you from the sky, provision. But none will remember except he who turns back [in repentance]

(14) So invoke Allah , [being] sincere to Him in religion, although the disbelievers dislike it

(15) [He is] the Exalted above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne; He places the inspiration of His command upon whom He wills of His servants to warn of the Day of Meeting

(16) The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allah . To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allah , the One, the Prevailing


Surah 40

Assalaamu `alaiki warahmatullaah, ukht.

Maashaa'Allaah, I'd like to see this turn into one of the longest threads here! =) With these aayaats come feelings of peace and tranquility...and they're so many, one can spot them throughout the entire qur'aan. There's really no knowledge more honorable than knowing your Lord!
