Sexual Grooming

From Jimmy Seville to Rotherham: sometimes, it feels as though the news over the past couple of years has been about little other than the sexual abuse and rape of children. Major institutions have been charged with failing to investigate accusations of impropriety and of covering up the ‘open secret’ of celebrities having sex with minors.

More recently, there have been the Rotherham scandals, involving gangs of men grooming and sexually assaulting young girls subject to the care system – a system which, quite obviously, failed to care for them adequately. It’s certainly not the case that everyone in care is preyed upon and exploited but a cursory glance at the facts suggests that care sometimes falls short: children in care have poorer educational outcomes, are more likely to have poorer emotional and behavioural health and to use substances than their peers who are not cared for by the State. Rates of criminality, mental health problems, teenage pregnancy and homelessness in adulthood are also higher. Frequently, children in care will have experienced early adversity, be it parental substance use, domestic violence or a history of abuse or neglect. These are often vulnerable individuals and they are likely to require enhanced support compared to other children their own age.
But all that has been forgotten. The press is busy describing the Rotherham offenders as ‘Muslim’ or ‘Pakistani’ or ‘of Pakistani origin’ or something similarly designed to tarnish all members of one or other community with the same brush. Cue counter-pieces stating, rightly, that not all paedophiles are Muslim, Pakistani or of Pakistani origin. The overwhelming majority of sex offenders in prison are white, though it would be incorrect to assume that the rates of reporting and conviction are the same across ethnic groups. Ethnic minorities, particularly those from Asian backgrounds, are less likely to report abuse because the dual burdens of shame and stigma continue to act as a deterrent. The effect is that ever-increasing numbers of children are raped and that rapists get away with it.

Personally, I have no interest in the demographics of paedophiles. You don’t violate a child because of your ethnic background, nor because you notionally subscribe to a particular faith. You violate a child because you disregard the rights of that child to only engage in consensual sex. It’s not about being Asian, or Muslim, or white, or Church of England. It’s simply about being a rapist.

As for the girls? Who knows? What we do know is this. Children who are sexually assaulted are more likely to experience mental health problems, including eating disorders, and to self-harm. They are more likely to misuse drugs and alcohol and to attempt suicide. They are more likely to have difficulties in forming and maintaining relationships and to be in violent, emotionally abusive relationships. The impact is often devastating, and may be life-long. But, what with all our hand-wringing over our religious and cultural identity, we have forgotten that there are children, violated children, at the centre of this.
A major newspaper investigation linked some British Pakistani youths with the sexual exploitation of underage native girls in towns across North and Midland. Some of them are convicted of grooming underage native girls for sex because they think that these girls have fewer morals and are less valuable than Muslim girls. Now decent Pakistani men will be looked at as potential child abusers but last year 80% of child abusers were native Brits.

These Pakistani youths are British born and educated in state schools with non-Muslim monolingual teachers. They are the product of western education system which makes a man stupid, selfish and corrupt. They have been mis-educated and de-educated and they do not know where they belong. They suffer from identity crises. They speak English in local accents. They are unable to speak, read and write Urdu language. They find themselves cut off from their cultural roots and are unable to enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry. Such individuals are fully assimilated into British culture. What do you expect from such individuals? Instead of sending them to prison, they should be included in New Year Honour List. In the past a Muslim girl was awarded MBE for running way from her parents. Now there are round about 6000 runaway Muslim girls in the custody of LAs. They should also be included in the Honour List. Thanks to the British education system.

Britain’s so brilliant Education Ministry had embarked on teaching sex to 5 year olds from last year. Britain already has health and social services, including counselling for children who are sexually active. One initiative has distributed contraceptives to girls as young as 11. Tony Blair said it is the right thing to do– handing free contraceptives to British girls. The Institute for Public Policy Research found that a major reason for Britain’s thug generation was the collapse of British family life. Evidence also showed that British adults are afraid to control their drunk, high, fornicating and violent teens. The adults also lagged behind their European peers in confronting their teenagers about “antisocial” behaviour.

The native Brits have double standards and are hypocrites; they don't mention the fact that the majority of men who go to countries in East Asia looking for under aged sex are natives European men.

This is sickening. It's no wonder Great Britain is in such a bad shape. Ten years old British girls are having babies out of wedlock. They are not allowed to get married but are allowed to have babies. Teenage pregnancy rate in Great Britain is the highest in Western Europe. It is a civilised country and Yemen is a backward country because it allows young girls to get married.

Indiscipline, incivility, binge drinking, drug addiction, gun and knife crimes, teenage pregnancies and abortion are part and parcel of British schooling. These are the reasons why majority of Muslim parents would like to send their children to Muslim schools with Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods. Only less than 5% attend Muslim schools and more than 95% keep on attending state and church schools to be mis-educated and de-educated by non-Muslim monolingual teachers.

There are hundreds of state and church schools where Muslim children are in majority. In my opinion, all such schools may be opted out as Muslim Academies. There is no place for a non-Muslim child or a teacher in a Muslim school.

British teens may drink but they did not commit heinous sexual crimes on underage girls. The perverts who were part of the sex ring were men who were hiding under the banner of Islam.

It is very difficult to be a Muslim these days. We behead, we kill, we rape, etc. etc. etc....can someone please help a little old lady cross the road?

Brother, what you might mean by this?

Britain’s so brilliant Education Ministry had embarked on teaching sex to 5 year olds from last year.

In the west they don´t "teach sex" in schools. They teach children to know health issues, also about what happens when children grow up like what are the menstruations to girls or nocturnal ejaculation to boys - both very natural matters. They tell which kind of changes are normal at the teenage, about sex diseases and how to prevent unwelcome pregnancy etc. They don´t teach anyone how to make sex.

Where people would get kind of information specially if their parents don´t tell about it in home (they might not know). From the internet? Or would it be better people wouldn´t know nothing about health matters?

As a former teacher I made sex education so boring the kids would go to sleep. But they were informed.

As children grow their bodies change. We have to educate them.

The problem becomes this: Many mothers are too embarrassed to teach children. Many immigrant mothers are in the dark about sex. Why??? Please let me know.

We know from hadith that the Prophet of Allah, swas, would take time and answer questions. Once again if one wants to learn about sex go to the masjid. We need to learn about sex and the mess of having sex outside of marriage. We live in world that is not sweet. Things happen.

To point fingers and say Muslims do not have sex outside of marriage is erroneous. We are human beings. To blame the country where you reside and call the citizens evil means you need to move.

Most studies indicate a drop in sex. Children are too busy buzzing on social media. It is more entertaining for them. They are smoking less, drinking less, having fewer babies, and sleeping less. They keep their fingers moving all night long.

For having less teenage mothers, we have to thank social media about it. ;) Even partly; health education too of course.

Let's also be honest. A woman walking alone in a Muslim country will be unsafe. On a deserted road, she will be attacked. On a busy road, she will be stared at and hollered at. I have experienced this myself in Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, etc.

But here in the west, I can take a long walk in my neighbourhood or anywhere for that matter, and non-muslim men leave me alone. My personal safety is never threatened.

That's why I always avoid listening to people who keep insisting that we should do hijra. Where to?! Muslims in general say that they treat their women the best out of everyone but their actions (some) show otherwise. It's all theory and no application. Our countries are actually behind on women's rights.

It is easy to say" Go back to where you came from", but do not forget that British Muslims are actually born and educated here. They are in the unenviable position of trying to combine two different worlds. That is no easy. We do not want to change you lot but we would like to see our children getting balanced Islamic education along with National Curriculum. We would like our children to learn and be well versed in standard English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. At the same time we would like our children to learn and be well versed in Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural roots and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry. A Muslim is a citizen of this tiny global village. He/she does not want to become notoriously monolingual Brit. Bilingualism is an asset but British schooling regards it as a problem.
We live in a shrunken world and millions of people are on the move; one of our biggest challenges is how we learn to live in proximity to difference – different skin colours, different beliefs and different way of life. According to a study by COMPASS, Muslims born and educated were given the impression of outsiders. The perception among Muslims is that they are unwelcome in Britain is undermining efforts to help them integrate into wider society. Most of them say that they have experienced race discrimination and religious prejudice. Muslims and Islam is promoted a fundamentalist and separatist by the western elite, which have negative impact on community and social cohesion. The number of racist incidents occurring in London Borough of Redbridge’s schools have reached their highest levels since record begin.
A City or a locality, where Muslims are in majority is a ghetto. There is a tendency for people of similar backgrounds to live together in neighbourhoods. The term”ghettoisation” is inappropriate. The original ghettos in Europe during the middle ages were set up by law to confine the Jewish population to one area of a city. According to a research by an Australian academic that Muslim communities in Britain are being increasingly ghettoized in a trend that set back hopes of assimilation by years. Britain has now eight cities in the top 100 most ghettoized cities. The people from the Pakistani community in Bradford and Oldham and Leicester had trebled during the decade. A report by an academic Dr Alan Carling, that Bradford risks becoming a front line in the global clash between the West and Islam. But Islam and Muslims do not clash with the concepts of pluralism, secularism and globalisation. The native flight from Bradford’s inner-city wards showed clear evidence of an increase in segregation in the city since 1991. Native parents are avoiding sending their children in state schools where Muslims and other minorities are in majority. The dominance of Pakistani Muslims in the city has meant that Bradford has become bi-cultural.
Immigrants are the creators of Britain new wealth, otherwise, inner cities deprived areas could not get new lease of life. The native Brits regard such areas as ghettoes. Integration is not religious and cultural, it is economic and Muslims are well integrated into British society and at the same time they are proud of their Islamic, linguistic and cultural identities, inspite of discrimination they have been facing in all walks of life. According to UN, 80% of British Muslims feel discriminated. They are less burden on social services. Immigrants made up 8.7% of the population, but accounted for 10.2% of all collected income tax
It is often quoted by the Western media that Muslim schools ghettoizes the children, and even lead to their radicalisation if they are not integrated. There is no evidence that faith schools lead to a “ghettoized education system. In British schools, pupils are encouraged to focus too much on their similarities rather than their differences.

Muslims have ghettoized themselves. Your own post talks about the desire for your children to learn Urdu and other "community languages" and maintain "cultural roots". This type of thinking perpetuates the "us" versus "them" dichotomy and promotes division, hatred and religious and racial intolerance.

A muslim does not need to learn Urdu. Muslims are obsessed with cultural origins. It is time to abandon the immigrant narrative. Until you do so, islam in the west (where many of us have been born, raised, and educated) will always be the religion of third-world cultures, the religion of immigrants, the religion of refugees and terrorists and foreign-tongued.

Let's stop doing this to ourselves.

We live in a time where sexual abuse of children has become a social norm in parts of the country. That will be the case as long as some get away with denying that there are cultural reasons for this. And since we are a multi-cultural society, this does not only apply to the traditional indigenous cultures. There are also reasons in other cultures here why it happens so much here. Just take a calculator and calculate what happened in Rotherham. 95% Pakistani perpetrators when it comes to gangs, 7000 rapists in total, size of the Pakistani community: 9000 people. People pointing the finger at the Pakistani community in Rotherham: 0. I ask: why. Explain to me why it can't be a cultural problem there, but it sure is when we talk about Seville, Smith and the church of England. Stop protecting the perpetrators, people, regardless their race. You are fuelling racism when doing that, because people are not stupid. Get the minorities to the table when fighting child abuse now. Even they know that they are overrepresented in the statistics:

The official media narrative is street grooming is endemic in northern cities densely populated with Pakistani's. Truth: 47 out of 53 arrested for street grooming are white. Police should aggressively hunt & target such street grooming paedo's with no fear of race card being played. 53 arrests, only 11 convictions is a poor conversion rate, do they know how to build a case? Rochdale case suggests not – it was dropped three years ago before being restarted recently. Who bore the brunt of this? The victims. If a blogger like me can access such information on street grooming & report it. Why can’t journalists? Lazy or following owners agenda?

The Press that blamed Islam as inspiring these street grooming sex crimes were – Rupert Murdoch’s Times (Davis Aaronovitch) & Richard Desmond’s Daily Mail (Melanie Phillips). Both owned by Israeli firster Zionists as were the columnists who wrote it. The facts are meaninglessness where agenda is top. Tell a lie, repeat it endlessly, until they believe it as the unassailable & undisputed truth. At 15 ..... With full consent? Now I'm not into blaming the women but...... These girls mothers and fathers should have been protecting them as well as teaching them some self respect to not just go shagging your dance instructor. He was a divvy though he should have realised he could get into trouble. We also have to ask ourselves, wrong or right, how many 15 year old virgins are walking around the place right now? Not many I don't think.

Whilst you’re at it, start thinking about the ethnicities of Jimmy Seville and other famous TV personalities, and of the multitude of priests, more recently DJ Neil Fox, and God knows how many other white people who are paedophiles and ask the question why the media does not refer to them as ‘white middle class men’, whereas it refers to this scum as ‘Pakistani/Asian men’.

Will the Jimmy Seville case be the tipping point? Has he, in being a revered member of the establishment, brought the child abuse truth into spaces that are more familiar than the ghettos of Britain? It is, paradoxically, his celebrity and our preoccupation with the celebrity culture that has kept this news alive for some two weeks. It would be a tragedy if this horror story didn’t lead to the substantial change of attitude required to make a difference.
Shame on what the present British society has become, shame on you for being cowards in not being able to protect the innocents of society and making the rest of our majority community the scapegoats of your own failures.
And carry on with this persecution because let me tell you frankly we are sick of this racism anyway, and I assure you it is not the scum people like those groomers or the weirdo jihadist’s that will be going anywhere soon, it is people like me with MBA’s and PHD’s that are the ones looking to leaving this country for good and heading somewhere that really does uphold the values of Churchill.

Sexual exploitation and abuse of children in care has been rife for decades, under all parties. Remember the Islington scandal? The real elephant in the room is why are so many children in Britain so vulnerable to abusers in the first place. Why is the focus on the failings of the council rather than those of the parents? It is the responsibility of a child's mother and father to protect them - it is no accident that children who live with both parents are statistically the least likely to be abused sexually or physically. It is the breakdown of the married family which has left so many British children exposed to people who wish to do them harm. The councils did not bring these children into the world. Every child that was abused had two parents. Where were they and why are they exempt from any blame?

Yes, ideally every child would have loving, capable parents who are able to take care of them. Unfortunately that is not the case. That is simply a fact. So instead of deflecting the blame onto the parents, why don't we stick to pointing the finger at those who work in the professions who are actually entrusted to and paid to step in when parents are unfit for task? What on earth have they been doing? Twiddling their thumbs, collecting their salaries and hoping nobody would notice gross dereliction of duty? The vast majority of the children in the Rotherham case were NOT in care. In both Rochdale and Rotherham there were instances of fathers trying to get their children away from the rapists, but they, and not the rapists were arrested for hate crimes. The disturbing thing is not that people don't know this, but that they do but will go to an unbelievable attempt to blame anyone but the perpetrators because of their ethnicity. Do we blame the parents for Seville's victims, Politician abusers victims, victims of priests?, no, only victims of 'Asian' rape gangs.

The Home Office were first made aware of what was occurring in Rotherham back in 1998 this is when 'grooming' was viewed as 'child prostitution' which meant that many children who were being abused, some as young as 12 years old, were being arrested then convicted or cautioned for offences relating to prostitution. Figures for 1995-96 show that 177 children under 17 were convicted of offences relating to prostitution. A further 207 - including a 12-year-old girl - were cautioned.
These Pakistanis have adopted the British values of grooming young children. They are the product of the British schooling with non-Muslim monolingual teachers. I have been doing Jihad in the field of education for the last 40 years so that each and every Muslim child should be in a state funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods. I would like to see Muslim children developing Cultural, linguistic and spiritual identities so that they could keep themselves away from western barbarity of anti-social behaviour, binge drinking, drug addiction, teen age pregnancies and abortion and lot of other evils but people like you do not want to see Muslim children in Muslim schools in the name of integration. Now you have seen the result in the form of sexual grooming of young children which is a common occurrence in your culture.
