The janaazah will be held after the 'Asr prayer Jumu'ah - Friday 23 January 2015 (3/4/1436AH), in the mosque Jaami' al-imaam Turkee ibn 'Abdullaah in Riyadh.

May Allaah have mercy on him and forgive him his sins.
And May Allaah grant success to the new king - Salmaan - and the rest of the leaders and lead them to that which is good, aameen.

RIYADH — Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah died early on Friday and his brother Prince Salman became king, the royal court said in a statement carried by state television.

King Salman has named his Prince Muqrin as his crown prince and heir.

"His Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and all members of the family and the nation mourn the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, who passed away at exactly 1 a.m. this morning," said the statement.

King Salman has been crown prince and defense minister since 2012. He was governor of Riyadh province for five decades before that. — SG

While the passing of every believer is a time of reflection, those who advocated and supported the forces of oppression on the Muslim world are not among the people we should look on as our guides or those we feel sadness for in death.

His life and his rule are between him and Allah both among the public and private area, but what we know of him and his record of actions, policies, political decisions and alignments are clear; they were not in the best interests of Islam, the common good or for the betterment of Muslims.

We don't need the lies of the kuffaar.
Saudi Arabia has always helped the Muslims around the world, with financial help for example, and all praise is for Allaah. Saying that they supported some wars is a lie. When the war in Syria started and the filthy Basshaar the nusayri started slaughtering Muslims -- all the Muslims in the world, including leaders and scholars, said that he must be fought. So Saudi Arabia aided not-extremist groups in this. That there were and are shortcomings is another thing. Everyone has them. And Allaah knows best.
