Wisdom is a long-cherished wish to the believer. He takes it from wherever he listens to it; and he does not mind from where it came out. (Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as narrated by Ibn Hibban.

The Prophet (SAW) said: “Envy is justified in regard to two types of persons only: a man whom Allah has given knowledge of the Qur’an, and so he recites it during the night and during the day; and a man whom Allah has given wealth and so he spends from it during the night and during the day.” [Bukhari and Muslim].

EVERY MUSLIM MUST GIVE IN CHARITY

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Every Muslim has to give in charity."

The people then asked: "(But what) if someone has nothing to give, what should he do?"

The Prophet replied: "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns)."

The people further asked: "If he cannot find even that?"

He replied: "He should help the needy who appeal for help."

Then the people asked: "If he cannot do (even) that?"

The Prophet said finally: "Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds, and that will be regarded as charitable deeds."

"If one wants to be able to do good, then let him ask the One in whose hand is all good: "All good is within Your hands and evil does not stem from You. I exist by your will and will return to you." (Muslim)

"Crying over one's sins: The Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, was asked: "What is the means to achieve salvation (for Hell) and punishment)?" He, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, replied: "Control your tongue, keep to your house, and weep over your sins." (At-Tirmidhi)

"Reforming the tongue reforms the deeds: The faith of the slave would not become straight until his heart becomes straight, and his heart would not become straight unless his tongue becomes straight." (Ahmad)

Ibn Mas'ood said: "A believer sees his sins as if he is sitting under a mountain and he fears that it would collapse over him, while a dissolute person sees his sins as (insignificant as) a fly which landed on his nose and he does like this (waves his arm) and makes it fly away." (Al-Bukhari)

The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Should I not guide you to a charity which Allah loves? Reconcile between people, as it is a charity which Allaah loves.” (As-Saheehah 2644)

“Verily I have been given the Quran and something similar to it along with it. But soon there will be a time when a man will be reclining on his couch with a full stomach, and he will say, ‘You should adhere to this Quran: what you find that it says is permissible, take it as permissible, and what you find it says is forbidden, take it as forbidden.’ But indeed, whatever the Messenger of Allah forbids is like what Allah forbids.” [Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi (2664)

Personal Comment: This is a Weak Ahadith, but it has been classified as Sahih in its chain of narration, hence the message and lesson to be learned is still valid.

The Prophet (SallaAllāhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, “Allāh has His people (from the creation).” The sahāba asked, “Who are they?” He replied, “They are the people of the Qur’ān. They are Allāh’s people, and His close ones”
