The Messenger of Allāh (SAW) said: “The people of Jannah will be of three kinds:

1. A just successful ruler

2. A man [or woman] who shows mercy to his [her] relatives

and

3. A pious believer who has a large family and refrains from begging.”

[Sahīh Muslim]

The Prophet (SAW) said "By him is whose hands is the soul of Muhammad the fragrance of the breath of the fasting person..."

"...smells sweeter to Allah on the day of Judgement than the fragrance of musk." [Collected By Muslim, (No. 2762)]

The Prophet (SAW) said: "Do not put your arms flat on the ground like dogs when you pray!" (Sahih Al Bukhari)

Personal Comment: This is referring to Sujood, when a Muslim makes prostration during the Salah. The arms and elbows must be raised and not touch the ground.

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)" (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Personal Comment: This includes not praying Salah, backbiting and slander, speaking of useless things, harming others through words or acts, inflicting cruelty on animals, lying, deception, disrespecting youngers and elders, encouraging wrong things and failing to discourage wrong things etc.

Islam is full of beauty , all we need is purify our intentions and make it sincere for Allah subhanahu wa taaala.

Islam is full of beauty , all we need is purify our intentions and make it sincere for Allah subhanahu wa taaala.

This reminds me of a lecture given by a sheikh where he spoke of a conversation between a Mongol ruler and a young sister [who was also a scholar, a female sheikh] in the 13th century. The City of Baghdad had been completely destroyed y the Mongols and the status and condition of the Muslims in their own country was deplorable.

The Mongol ruler had sought out the sister in question because of her Islamic knowledge and personal spiritual sincerity (something so many of us lack today). He had some questions based on what little he had heard of Islam and he had ensured there was an audience to hear her answers. He had assembled both ordinary Muslims and Non Muslims to hear her response.

It was not that he valued her opinion, held her in high esteem or believed in her words. It was to show the superiority of his country, his own culture, civilisation, religion and army over Islam and not just Muslims in general. While the exact questions are lost to history. I will reproduce what is approximately believed to be her answer.

His questions were if Islam is superior to all religions, then why are you under us and not the other way around. Her reply was Allah has allowed you to be over us for [a limited time] now and it will be over once we return to believing in Him as He should be and leave everything else [of other cultures, ideologies, systems etc.]

If we do the same today, then inshallah we can return to receiving Allah's Grace, Forgiveness and Reward.

Narrated Abü Huraira: The Prophet (SAW) said:

"Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty subdivisions or branches (i.e. parts).

And Al-Hayá.'

(This term Al-Hayâ' covers a large number of concepts which are to be taken together;

amongst them are self-respect, modesty, bashfulness and honour, etc.)

is a part of faith." (Bukhari & Muslim)

1. 'The one to whom Allah and His Messenger (SAW) become dearer than anything else.

2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.

3. Who hates to revert to atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire."

Narrated Abü Sa'id Al-Khudri, Allah's Messenger (SAW) said:

"If a person embraces Islam sincerely, then Allah shall forgive all his past sins, and after that starts the settlement of accounts, the reward of his good deeds will be ten times to seven hundred times for each good
deed and an evil deed will be recorded as it is unless Allah forgives it."
