Umar Bin Abdul Aziz, a descendant of Umar Al Farouk, expressed the following view in the form of a parable to his governors, ministers and to the masses in general.
"The parable of a king is like a market place. In the market place things displayed for sale are precisely those which are in demand.
If the king or the ruler is himself good and virtuous, the people under his care will also be good and virtuous. If he is not good, his people also cannot be good."
