Allah’s last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said

“The best supplication is what is made on the day of Arafah, and the best thing that I have ever said as well as all the previous prophets, is ‘Laa ilaaha illa Allah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.’” [At-Tirmithii]

(Translation: ‘There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partners. All sovereignty and praise belong to Him, and He is over all things Omnipotent.’)

The importance of supplications during Hajj, especially at the time of Arafah can be gauged by the fact that Prophet, (PBUH), spent the day of Arafah on the top of his camel raising his hands and reciting the above-mentioned supplication from sunrise until the sunset.
