Now .. how do we say "for the sake of Allah" in all those languages? :p

Salam alaikum.

:salam2:

looool, brother u got it before me... no offence, but it sounds silly when i say it in Bangla, I always say it in English.

BESIDES, i don't need language to say I love someone. Love is in actions, not just words.

What about Pashtu!
Let me give a brief intro about it.
It is national language of Afghanistan and it is also spoken by a big population in Pakistan.

(Pakistan has 4 provinces and it is spoken in 2, one of which is entirely Pashtu speaking province).

It is at least over 2 thousand year old.

To say something in Pashtu has many ways which makes it one of the most difficult languages.

To say "I love you" for example:

"Pa taa mayan yem." or if a female wants to say it "Pa taa mayana yem."
or by both male and female "Taa sara meena laram."

I hope i didnt waste your time, Wassalam

A Rose by any other name...

Asslamo Allaikum,

I wrote corrections in Arabic, Persian (Irani, Afghani), Punjabi & Urdu and added Pushto; then deleted the post and chastised myself for wasting time :)

I however couldn't resist the 2nd half of the post which is

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet!

Source: Shakespear's "Romeo & Juliet" 1594

JULIET:
'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself.

P.S: Unfortunately women in this day & age can't speak, understand or comprehend Shakespear so STICK to Tupac!
