Video Beat your wives...NOT! -Nouman Ali Khan

Did our Prophet beat his wives? No? Then let's use his example, which is the best, when determining how we should behave within a marriage.

    In Search Of Logical Answers?

And what deeds have you done (aside from criticizing fellow Muslims and insulting them) have you done? Brother Mabsoot pays a large sum of money out of his own pocket to run this site. Have you donated? No? Then either work on your own imaan or be silent.

    In Search Of Logical Answers?

So you're deciding to leave Islam because of some comments some strangers made on the internet? Oooookay. If you allow the personal opinions of people who are not even qualified or formally educated in the tenets of Islam to decide your fate then that's on you. I spent years as a new convert...

    Advice Needed-Mother with Mental Illness

:salam2: It sounds as if you are doing all the necessary things, unfortunately mentally ill people can sometimes temporarily compensate in front of professionals to avoid treatment. Eventually though the symptoms peek out and the person can no longer hide their illness. Hypnosis is basically...

    Advice Needed-Mother with Mental Illness

My gosh the amount of ignorance i read in this thread..."psychiatrists will only run their business..." whatever. To the OP, what you are describing is Bipolar Affective Disorder type I. Your mother may need to be brought to an ER so she can be admitted and then stabilized on medication again...

Cruelty From Husbands On Their First Night Of Marriage

No one is stating that intercourse on the first night of marriage is not permissible or even discouraged. The thread is about men being brutish and just satisfying their own desires when approaching their wife on the first night of intercourse. Our Prophet spoke very bluntly and strongly about...

    Dietary Restrictions

We are forbidden from eating pork or drinking alcoholic drinks. Also, we must make sure our meat is zabihah halal, this means that it was slaughtered in a particular way. (it resembles kosher style slaughtering) We are allowed to eat meat that was slaughtered by al-Kitaab (people of the book)...

    Cousins

:salam2: Can you clarify what type of rulings? Is this about how she will be judged in the hereafter? About whether or not she is responsible for her actions (ie. must pray?)?

    rape and abortion

:salam2: In the end there really isn't any place for us to debate. Scholars that have gone over the situation and know the details have made a ruling (fatwa.) We are just Monday-night quarterbacking and even worse, without all the facts or knowledge of fiqh. So it's not our place to demand to...

    help me :'(

:salam2: The beauty about Islam is sinning is through actions not thoughts. We all have thoughts (especially when SHaitaan is whispering in our ears) that are shameful but that doesn't mean we are sinning. If you act upon those thoughts then it crosses a line. How old are you? If you are...

    rape and abortion

My apologies I was incorrect, according to the fatwa I post below the soul is breathed into the fetus after 120 days from conception. May Allah swt forgive me for my mistake. (I bolded the part that states when the soul is breathed into the fetus. http://islamqa.info/en/ref/12475/abortion

    rape and abortion

:salam2: I don't see a problem with this. First trimester abortions are completely permissible in Islam if performed before the soul is breathed into the embryo. After that point the scholars agree it is permissible if for a reason of health (mental or physical) for the woman.

    Secret marriage ?

:salam2: The best way to handle this situation is to inform his parents immediately that he married. While it may create drama and resentment, that would be minor compared to the fallout if they found out years later he had hidden such a monumental thing from them. Besides, I can't imagine...

    how will we handle this???

:salam2: Why do you write "dis" and "d" instead of the real word? It seems like a lot of effort to purposely (and consistently) use poor grammar and spelling in an effort to "look cool." Please refrain from writing in slang on this forum as we have numerous readers who either are multilingual...

:salam2: This thread is almost 2 years old so you're a tad late with your chastisement. Besides I didn't see it veering off track and some very beneficial conversation resulted. No harm done.

MAN WITH 5 WIVES WHAT SHUD HE DO IF HE ALSO HAS CHILDREN WITH THEM?

:salam2: You've already posted about a man with 6 wives and was told Islam only allows 4 wives and the rest are not valid. Now you say you know a Pakistani with 5 wives, seriously, this is getting a bit preposterous. Read this ayah and then stop asking the same type of question over and over...

    I have one question

:salam2: The others have given good advice but just to remind you, 200% of $10 is $2000. That is definitely too good to be true and sounds like a scam.

Husband or wife travels to work with another women or man??? Haram??

:salam2: This is all well and good until you are placed in a situation like I was for over 4 years. I converted to Islam and my family cut ties with me. For all intents and purposes I was like an orphan, no mahrem to escort me places. I approached a sheik with my situation and asked him what...

6 WIVES LIVING IN SAME HOUSE

:salam2: It not permissible for a man to be married to more than 4 wives at one time. Regardless of the living conditions his last two wives are not considered valid. This is clearly stated in the Qur'an and Hadith.

    how can silk be halal?

:salam2: Not really sure what you are trying to say here. If you don't want to wear silk then don't. It's not required or even encouraged in Islam, it's simply permissible to women. We eat the meat of many animals and they gave their lives for it, I don't see much of a difference frankly...
