I'm not gonna pretend to have answers from Quran and Sunna,but in such situations I use sarcasm.I prefere it to raise my voice or say something that realy hurts.Besides I think sarcasme intimmidats so people would have to think before they say anything to you.

I absolutely agree that Allah sub7anahu wa ta3ala knows when it's the best time for us,but it can be a test too.To see how much you will be patient and fight your temtations.

It could be all the mencionned reasons.But what is sure for me is that nowadays it's hard to get married even for those who aren't pious.We live in societies that encourage individualisme. But when you are pious,it's even harder because you have more criterias than non-pious people.
