Sab'a Sita Ethnain
Asalamu 'Alaykuum,

Wrote it today, please enjoy and most importantly reflect.

By Ahmad Abu Khattab

They persist in battle to drop our spirit,
To debase our hope and diminish our honour.
A ruthless machine that sees no innocence,
But all it does is make us stronger.

The belly of the beast is hungry for more,
Continuously feeding on what keeps us rife.
No bounds it knows as it pushes for victory,
Butchering and destroying every aspect of life.

Our lands are witnesses to a bloody war,
Raged upon those who speak the truth.
An abstract image has been painted with blood,
Putting our nation into a degrading sleuth.

The Lion’s den has now become empty,
The roars can be heard from all the lands.
Their eyes are set upon the ruthless beast,
Their leaders shouting out their commands.

The believers witnessing the atrocity unfold,
Yet remaining silent has become their way.
Hopeless they are as they see the rivers,
The rivers of blood that are set allay.

Souvenirs made from the bones of our brothers,
Paraded around like a trophy of victory.
The hungry beast moves forward to plot,
But so do the lions that are full of sincerity.

Sincerity to whom? None other than Allah,
Their honour shining out from their chest.
Allegiance sworn to their Lord, the All-Mighty,
The One Who knows what’s in the breast.

Do not the believers hear the cries?
Do they not see the shedding of blood?
No they don’t because they’ve become blind,
Humiliated, in sorrow - their faces in mud!

Look what’s become of our honourable nation,
A glorious nation that stood firm and tall.
In tatters today is the sorrowful truth,
A glorious state that surely did fall.

Prisoners we are to our festering desire,
Chained in shackles of devilish bliss.
Dissatisfied our souls with what we have,
Victims of the world’s, deceiving kiss.

O so called believer I challenge you!
A challenge so simple, at least it seems.
Thank your Lord for His blessing on you,
And keep your desires out of your dreams!

Something greater awaits the patient,
Neither eye or ear or heart can sense.
A tranquil oasis of infinite proportion,
But only given at the desires expense.

Look at our lands that are ravaged by war,
The beast reaping all their natural riches.
Fake promises made to the ignorant fools,
Plucking commodities as if undoing stitches.

Shaking the hand of the deceitful murderer,
No shame the leaders have today.
The laws of man are what they long for,
With our brethrens blood they go and pay.

The beast blabbers on about peace for us,
But are they blind to see their homes?
Why don’t they attempt to fix their lands?
Before coming to us to drop their stones.

In a web of lies the beast resides,
Making excuses to persuade the fools.
Assisting them happily to ravage our lands,
Not knowing really, that they are all but tools.

And all we do is accept the spit,
Spat on us after assisting the pig.
And we ask ourselves why we’re dying?
It is our fault; our graves we dig.

But still there are those who continue fight,
The Lions who fail to give into desire.
Penetrating the heart of the ruthless beast,
Paradise being what they wish to acquire.

A fine line drawn between them and the fools,
Like black and white it is easy to see.
One chases the kiss of the deceitful world,
The other chasing Paradises key.

They shall bring back the honour to us,
By the Will of Allah – their hearts full of sincerity.
While others have lost the gift of guidance,
They only increase in beneficial prosperity.

Indeed this year we live in today,
Is a pinnacle chapter in our nation’s time.
Its words written with two types of ink,
One of truth and light and the other of crime.

Battles rage without any innocence,
Death now vernacular to our eyes.
Slaves we are to our dreadful desires,
Blocking our ears from our nations cries.

It is indeed a year of change,
Maybe we’ll speak of it once we’ve won.
Its numbers written with the two types of ink,
It is the year, fourteen thirty-one...
