Praise to the Lord,

E467 is widely used in in processed foods, supplements and cosmetics.

They'll tell you that there is no evidence that E467 or polyglycerol polyricinoleate could possibly be of animal origin. But you'll find in the official site of the Vegan Society that E476 is possibly animal-derived.

E476 comes from E475, which is: " polyglycerol esters of fatty acids ", any fatty acids, animal or vegetal. The cheapest way to obtain fatty acids is the processing of animal waste. The law doesn't require the manufacturer to state the origin of the additive, you'll never know where it comes from. The industry doesn't care about the consumers, it cares about sales and costs and the like.

Get an additive guide and read your labels, all of them, not just foods'!
