My dear respected brothers and sisters, :salam2:
As ramadan ends, let's take stock of the profound lessons it leaves with us and hold to them for the next 11 months that we may be blessed here and hereafter.

secondly, we should endeavor to: pay our Zakat fitr B/4 going for eid else it will be just like an ordinary charity.

Sahih BukhariVolume 2, Book 25, Number 579:

Narrated Ibn Umar:

Allah's Apostle enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the 'Id prayer. (One Sa' = 3 Kilograms approx.)

Eat something B/4 going for eid, take the ritual bath, use new or best clothes use perfume (male).

Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 15, Number 73:
Narrated Anas bin Malik,:

Allah's Apostle never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of 'Id-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates. Anas also narrated: The Prophet used to eat odd number of dates.

Be chanting the Takbeer ( Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar La ilaha illah, Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar walil Lahil hamd or atleast Allah Akbar) to eid ground, if necessary change route when coming back from eid ground.

Women on their period are also require to go but not to partake in sallat,

Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 15, Number 88:
Narrated Um 'Atiya:

We used to be ordered to come out on the Day of 'Id and even bring out the virgin girls from their houses and menstruating women so that they might stand behind the men and say Takbir along with them and invoke Allah along with them and hope for the blessings of that day and for purification from sins.

Allahu A'alam
