Dear brother,
Just ask yourself a simple question: who is this Zubeir Qamar ??? is he a scholar ? does he really exist? Because if he is willing to criticize a Giant like Ibn-Taymyah he better be a scholar of great caliber and trustworthy.
Ok, I've read his paper and a first glance I feel that he is not trustworthy. Your logical reaction would be why ? Simply because if you look at his bibliography you will be surprised by the kind of people he is citing:
Nadav Safran: A zionist (see paragraph 9) who was involved in a scandal (see paragraph 5) with CIA.
Emmanuel Sivan: another jew.
Hisham Kabbani: A pseudo-scholar Sufi who does not represent at all the mainstream Islam (to say the least!).
Gilles Kepel: A French scholar whose objectivity and professionalism is questioned here by another French scholar.
Now, my question is: are you really ready to capitalize on ONE suspect article of this unknown person and who bases his analysis on the work of criminal Zionist (Nadav Safran) ?
We as Muslim we should listen to GIANTS scholars like Al-Albani, Ibn-Baz, etc, etc from whom we take our faith and not to some Zubair Qamar or Nadav Safran !!!
If you find one of those trusted scholars criticizing Ibn Taymyah please let me know.
