AYAH OF THE DAY

[salahdin]

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ



سُوۡرَةُ القَصَص

وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ*!ۖ لَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ فِى ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَٱلۡأَخِرَةِ*!ۖ وَلَهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ (٧٠) قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِن جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡڪُمُ ٱلَّيۡلَ سَرۡمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ مَنۡ إِلَـٰهٌ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِ يَأۡتِيڪُم بِضِيَآءٍ*!ۖ أَفَلَا تَسۡمَعُونَ (٧١) قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِن جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡڪُمُ ٱلنَّہَارَ سَرۡمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ مَنۡ إِلَـٰهٌ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِ يَأۡتِيڪُم بِلَيۡلٍ۬ تَسۡكُنُونَ فِيهِ*!ۖ أَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُونَ (٧٢) وَمِن رَّحۡمَتِهِۦ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لِتَسۡكُنُواْ فِيهِ وَلِتَبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ (٧٣)



Al-Qasas

And He is Allah; there is no God save Him. His is all praise in the former and the latter (state), and His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back. (70) Say: Have ye thought, if Allah made night everlasting for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is a God beside Allah who could bring you light? Will ye not then hear? (71) Say: Have ye thought, if Allah made day everlasting for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is a God beside Allah who could bring you night wherein ye rest? Will ye not then see? (72) Of His mercy hath He appointed for you night and day, that therein ye may rest, and that ye may seek His bounty, and that haply ye may be thankful. (73)
28: 70-73

This is a very serious inaccurate translation. who needs to be saved. We human beings do.

وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ

Is not translated in this manner. The huwwa at the end of the part is skipped in the translation. Always Allah swt reminds us there is no God except him.

I have included the 3 translations of each of these ayahs so you can see translations that are a little more in line with what these ayahs say.

:salam2: Just wanted to point out,brother, that there's nothing wrong with using the word "save" in the translation. "Save" here means "except" and this is another meaning for the word - apart from the common meaning of " to keep or make safe". You can look the word up in any dictionary to rest assured about that.
