What Islam REALLY is?
Islam is NOTHING but KNOWLEDGE that our Creater Allah (SWT) granted us through 120,000 prophets. All prophets were given same basic message. It is however true that their methodology (minhaj) and Shar'ia (Law) was sligthly diffrent; depending upon the time and various traditions of teh time.
What impact should this knowledge (word of Allah) have on our life?
Allah did not reveal His word but for us to live our lives in accordance to it. That what ISLAM = SUBMISION to Allah's word without any change or interference from our own wishes and desires mean. To accept QURAN and the the words of the prophet (Mohamamd- sws) without any objections or alterations is how we can accomplish true Islam in our lives.
We MUST learn and gradually apply the teachigs of the Quran and prophet Mohamamd (sws) in each and every aspect fo our daily lives in our family life, professional, dealings with all otehr fellow humans.
A good source to learn what Islam says about these affairs is learn only from scholars of Islam who themselves apply these principles of Islam.
Islam Q and A ( as in Questions and Answers) is an excelelt web-site for all sincere muslism who want to take practicel steps to learn the teachinsg only from the Quran and hadith. There are several forums, questions and fatwa (religious edicts in light of the knowledge from Quran and hadith). Any sopurce which can NOT document teh exact source of a hadith should NOT be acceptabel to a sincere muslim.

May Aallh increase our Imaan and understanding of the Deen (islam). As Alalh says in the Quran whosoever Allah Loves He grants them understanding of the deen (Islam).
