Tensions flared in northwestern Myanmar after 10 Muslims were beaten to death by a mob of Buddhist vigilantes Sunday,

About 300 people belonging to the Buddhist majority stopped a bus carrying Muslims from a religious gathering, dragged 10 of them out and beat them to death before burning the vehicle in Taunggup.

Burmese Muslims gathered outside of a mosque in central Yangon on Tuesday (June 5), calling on the government to investigate the killings of Muslims. The Myanmar government issued a warning against "anarchic activities" Monday, assuring that legal action would be taken against those involved.

The Buddhists comprise 89 percent of Myanmar's population while the Muslims represent four percent. The Muslim minority consists of the Rohingya people and the descendants of Muslim immigrants from neighboring India, Bangladesh, China and early Arab and Persian settlers.

Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi raji'on. It would be better if the Muslims spoke about them rather than a crown prince that didnt even help the Sunnah or Muslims.

Hopefully only a crazed minority of Buddhists advocated for this. I wouldn't want us to make the same assumptions about their religion and people that others have made about us. But the important thing here is to make dua for those brothers/sisters who were victims and pray for their speed recovery.

It is important as well to find the rapist. The Muslims need protection until the rapist is found. The video did not provide any reason why the rapist is thought to be a Muslim.
