Serious Calculating zakat

Assalamoalaikum,

My xakat is due and I have been looking at ways to calculate how much to pay but no matter which source I look at, they all look so confusing and I'm not good at math either.

Could you pls explain to me or direct me to a good reader-friendly source where I can understand how to calculate my dues.

If for example you have 10,000 USD, you would have to give 2.5% of that which is equivalent to 250 USD.

Just x the amount of money you have by 00.25.
