Can someone answer my question about Dua

I would really like to know how Allah scientifically answers someone's Dua? I ask for forgiveness from Allah if I am thinking too deep etc but I'm in a situation right now where I need Allah's help(and I know he is with me and has helped me) desperately but I keep getting doubts about whether my dua will be answered. I'm asking for rizk/income and to start a business. I have been doing Dua for a few months and as I'm not seeing results so far I'm getting desperate. I am also doing my part as I know action should also accompany dua.

I am depressed and teary and I keep thinking that dua is a form of worship only and it may not be answered magically etc? I have read in some places that dua is not a magic wand but right now I am in need for something remarkable that is beyond human capabilities.

Please can someone explain to me how dua is answered? Does Allah change rules of nature and laws of cause and effect (causality) as a means to answer a dua? How does he change scientific laws in order to answer dua and does he suspend free will for a moment. I'm sorry but these are the questions that I need answering instead of people telling me 'don't worry be patient' or that one day it will be answered etc. I want to know how it is physically answered as my mind keeps telling me that it is scientifically not possible for requests to be answered like a miracle or magically. Has anyone had duas answered when they were desperate? I would like to hear such stories too.

Thanks.

I'm sorry you've been praying for several months with no result. I've been praying for 15 years with no result.

Yes, Dua is a form of worship. You will receive what is destined for you. Allah SWT has created this world as one of cause and effect. That is how life operates. Miracles do happen, but rarely, and usually only to the most righteous. The rules of nature don't change because of dua. It is not a magic wand, it's not voodoo.

Being patient is just the way we cope. Life does not go the way always plan. And honestly, a few months of dua is nothing. Come back in 5 years and let us know if things have changed.

And things will never change unless you change. You must take steps to get what you want. If it still does not work then you have Allah's answer.

I was really hoping that you wouldn't post in this thread. Please don't take this the wrong way but I was browsing the forum and read posts about Dua and your posts which were negative concerning dua etc. I genuinely wish Allah grants you happiness and by no means do I mean to criticise you and your posts that I've just read in other threads. Kindly can you refrain from posting in this thread as otherwise there
a chance the thread will go off tangent and become negative as the other threads in which you posted regarding this topic and become about you and negativity. I wish Allah gives you the best inshallah and I'm sorry if I've offended you in anyway. Thanks for understanding.

I would like to hear from more positive members in this thread.

We as humans can´t know the technics how Allah answers to our dua. The sure is that He answers but every times His answer might not be what we humans were expected. Sometimes the answer come right away and it is what we really hoped. Sometimes we feel that we never get any kind of answer. Kind of situations it is the most likely that Allah knew what we asked from Him wouldn´t mean the good result to us.

Happy endings for duas? I had some years ago difficult situation in my job with one person. I told about my problems to one friend who made dua for that matter. When I went to my job at the next day, every problems were solved - like a miracle would happened.

Every times answer doesn´t come right away - as you already know - neither its not what we asked to happen.

Allah says: But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not (Surah Baqarah, 2:216)

I also remind you that we are not scholars here in forum. You better go to talk about this matter to imam. He might find you better answers.

As salamu alaikim
I shall talk about my experience with Duaa. I was in desperate need of many things in moments of my life. Since I am a Muslim ( praying five times a day ) ( read Quran) ....( and in desperate need) I started trying my best to be answered ......I started studying the life of our prophet salla Allah alaihi wa sallam and other prophets , the companions radia Allah anhim ....started studying Quran and how the prayers where answered in Quran, why those people was close to Allah subhanahu wa taaala and Allah answered their prayer so .....I was sincere in those moments . Quran answered many many questions in my heart. I started to change what is inside my heart to fit the conditions to be answered . I found out that my prayers are missing many many meanings that should be in a heart of a Muslim like ( feeling poverty, humility , needy.., complete slavery .,.....) when I stand to pray .......step by step many things where more clear . By my ignorance I was putting a thick veil between My creator and me . I need more knoweldge how to purify my heart . AlhamduliAllah I got a very beautiful results ........at those moments I forgot all my needs and love of Allah captured my hearts something cannot be written but can be felt ( the prayers became my joy). I became peacful, happy , patient, with more faith. And AlhamduliAllah Allah gave me all that I was in desperate need for. But the most important thing I changed for a better person . Still I am not finished for my need became very high ( Janna) but I started the steps....... I suffer from many many wrongs but AlhamduliAllah I try to finish with them . I think this is the science of Duaa is to come closer to Allah subhanahu wa taaala by following the steps of our prophet salla Allah alaihi wa sallam and try to have a humble heart full of hope in Allah.

Thanks sister a_stranger about your answer. It puts me to think that maybe dua isn´t only that we ask something from Allah but its meaning is also help us to grow in islam, to understand the mercy of Allah better than before.

Hopely you understood my meaning...

By the way, I didn´t see that answer of sister Precious Star would be negative concerning duas. Just realistic one.

I think that faith requires more satisfaction with what Allah destined for us. True inner peace and happiness flow from this satisfaction and submission to the will of Allah . Otherwise one should be brave enough to take steps to get what he /she wants and Allah subhanahu wa taaala made lawful.

Yes, specially the times when I have asked courage to face some difficult situation alone. :) Knowing that Allah is with me makes me stronger to take some important step.
