A documentary I had made for my English class, showing the consquences and destruction of the war in Chechnya long ignored by the world and forgotten by many outside the Caucasus. Chechnya use to be known as a peaceful place before it declared independence in 1994, after tweleve years of fighting, Chechnya still lies in ruins despite Moscow's attempt to show the world that Chechnya is a Potemkin Village. Through out most of the Muslim dominated Caucasus, the war in Chechnya has caused instability in Dagestan, Ingushetia, Karabadino-Balkaria and Circassia (Karachay-Cherkessia)
