Christians beat a girl to death in the name of God

Christian extremists follow the teachings of an extremist preacher to beat their children. They continuously beat the 7 year old adopted girl for seven hours, killing her! These people are savages, you always hear about them killing their children or the children killing the parents. Yet these people call others uncivilized and barbaric while call themselves civilized!

I'd like to point out these people are not "run of the mill" Christians. But these Christian-like cults are VERY alive in America!

I hope that whole warehouse of books goes up in flames and the parents never leave prison insha'Allah.

Do hate the act but dont hate the people. They just happen to believe in the wrong teachings and act according to their understanding .

O Allah! Show us the Truth as Truth and give us ability to Follow it and show us the Falsehood as Falsehood and give us the ability to Avoid it

Muslims are the heart of the whole humanity, if the muslims are good then the whole humanity will be good and if they're bad....
And the heart of a community is its masjid, if the masjid is alive then the community is alive and if the masjid is dead...~just a saying by a nobody

Assalam alykum the writter of the book is from the same area im from, i dont think he represents the area well, at least i hope not. For the most part i find people from the "bible belt" to have lots of hospitality and there seems to be more of a comunal feel, unlike most places in the U.S.

I would prefer to go to the heart of the bible belt than to live by the California coast. Even though i dont think i would be treated with open arms by all the Christians there, it would be better than a place that is dencly populated with people pushing evil and haram from every corner possible.

I live in Georgia, and I actually hate the south. I was born here, raised here, and I hope to move farther north to a "blue" state where people are open minded.

But different strokes, for different folks :hijabi:

Assalam alykum. let me clearify my point, I now live about as far north as someone can go in the united states, i like it better, less rednecks and people who are wannabe militia . But if ive also been as a tourist to L.A where people seemed to be a little selfish also more gangs and crimes. Ya its true, im sure that there are plenty of people in the south who act like they where in a militia, infact its a well known how lawless people can be in the south, like the kkk. but if someone went to the downtown in any city they will find gangs and shooters, im afraid to walk downtown past 9 in my city, and i live in a very small city, or you could call it a large town. So , it really depends on what expirience someone has with a certain place im sure that if i go back to the south, i might take back these words, but then again i might not

I dont really care how liberal and accepting a place is, what matters to me is if the people dont let there own democracy kill them selves. Sometimes liberal people and places can get very upset if im not willing to moderate my beliefs or comprimise them. I have people who worry about me because im religious, and they constantly make fun of prayer and the prophets untill it gets on my nerves Wheras religious Christians who exile islam share many beliefs with the muslims whether they like it or not, while some may hate me, even want to kill me, i think i have more in common with a god fearing Christian than a secularist/ atheist.

also when i tried to hit the reply button i accidently pressed the report button thinking it was the reply button even though there on opissit sides, i dont think i reported all the way though insha allah, sorry.

It's too cold up north. Deerborne MI might be a nice place to visit, but I'm not sure I'd want to live there.

Odd considering my background, but there it is.

the media described the parents as fundamentalists
media described the man who killed over 100 people in Norway as assailant
but if any of this crime was commited by muslims they would simply call all the muslim as terrorists

Police: Parents punished dead boy by denying water

    August 27, 2011

A 10-year-old Dallas-area boy who died of dehydration after his father and stepmother kept water from him was being punished for wetting the bed, authorities say.

The boy, Johnathan James died July 25 after water was kept from him for five days while temperatures soared to 100 degrees or more each day, police said. The boy's dad, Michael Ray James, and stepmother, Tina Alberson, both 42, were jailed after being charged Thursday with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury.

Johnathan's twin brother, Joseph James, and a 12-year-old stepbrother were not injured and are staying with relatives.

Attorneys for the dad and stepmother did not immediately return calls seeking comment left at their offices Saturday night.

Joseph told the Dallas Morning News (http://dallasne.ws/qOpWSJ) that his parents put Johnathan in a room without air conditioning and told him to stand by the window. Joseph said that on the day Johnathan died he had peanut butter stuck in his throat but his parents wouldn't let him wash it down.

"They still wouldn't let him have water," Joseph said.

Joseph told the newspaper he wanted to help his brother but was worried he would face similar punishment.

"I wanted to do something, but I couldn't," Joseph said. "I couldn't do nothing because I would get in trouble."

Police documents show the boy suffered until he collapsed at his father's Red Bird home and hit his head on the floor. He was taken to a hospital, and authorities say Michael James told authorities there that Jonathan was sick. Medical staff were unable to revive the child.

The boys' grandmother, Sue Shotwell, said Jonathan was easy-going and never held a grudge.

"This kid, if you know Jonathan, he could forgive you for no matter what you did," Shotwell said. "You could ground him, and he would say 'I love you, Mimi.'"

Wow I have no words for how twisted those people are, the book writers and the parents. My toddler may drive me up a wall, and lately more often then not but I could never punish him knowing it caused him pain and to the point of killing him. I wonder where in rural Tenn those people who wrote the book live?

Angry passengers watch 7-year-old thrown overboard[/FONT]

    By AMY TAXIN - 08.30.11

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- It was a pleasant afternoon aboard a sightseeing cruise around California's scenic Newport Harbor until the unthinkable happened - a man threw his crying 7-year-old son overboard during an argument in front of shocked passengers, authorities said.

Sloane Briles, 35, was taken into custody for child endangerment and resisting arrest, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said.

"The father hit him several times and then threatened to throw him overboard if he didn't stop crying," Amormino said. "The crowd on the boat became very angry at the father for hitting the kid and extremely angry when he threw him overboard."

Authorities said Briles appeared to have been drinking. He was released Monday and couldn't immediately be reached at a number listed for him in Irvine.

Briles, his girlfriend and two sons from a previous marriage went on the Sunday afternoon cruise around Newport Harbor on a boat carrying 85 people. Briles began arguing with his girlfriend and his 7-year-old son, Amormino said, adding the child was not an expert swimmer.

The New York Daily News reported that the father's girlfriend told the newspaper that he was only "roughhousing" with his son as he often does and regretted his "stupid" judgment.

"His sons are his whole life," Jennifer Burrelli told the newspaper. "He would never ever do anything to hurt them on purpose. He knows now it could have gone badly. He doesn't even care about the arrest or his own name. He knows it was stupid."

She also said she and Amormino were not arguing before the incident.

Staff members on the tour boat said Briles told the boy he needed to toughen up then threw him into the water five feet below, said Charlie Maas, who oversees the tour company.

"Right in the middle of a sunny weekend afternoon in August there is a lot of boat traffic out there," Maas said. "That could have been fatally dangerous."

The incident happened so quickly that Maas said there was little time to react. Someone on the boat threw the boy a life ring, and he was safely rescued, uninjured, by another boater. The father also jumped in to save him.

Both the boy and his brother were returned to the care of their mother, who also could not be reached for comment. The couple was married in 2002 and separated in 2006 after having two children. They divorced in 2007.

Family court filings showed Briles lost his job in the mortgage industry in 2007 and got another job, but was injured and drew workers compensation. He successfully petitioned to get his child support obligation reduced and tried for a second reduction, which his ex-wife, Christin, opposed.

"If he truly wanted to support his boys he would find a job," she wrote in the filing. She also wrote that Briles sees the boys only on his weekends and rarely calls them during his off weeks.

Briles pleaded guilty in in February 2009 to being in contempt for not paying child support and was sentenced to three years of probation, according to court records. Briles also pleaded guilty in 2011 to public intoxication.

The 90-minute tour on a 42-foot boat called "Queen," operated by the Fun Zone Boat Co., goes past Shirley Temple's childhood home and the homes of John Wayne and other celebrities.

Thats all well and good, but these stories should be seen without the religious context. There are plenty of bad "Muslim" parents too.

Although, I can see how we should counter the Islamophobic news by showing equivalent stories from the "other side", which goes to show their are nutters everywhere.

Islam is perfect and we are taught kindness, patience and compassion to all.

these people are extremists indeed. however, they are in a very very small minority and even the majority of christians, despite the man varying sects, do not support behavior and are very much embarassed by these people.
