communicating on net with guardian haram or not?

:tti_sister: assalam alaikom,im just new here and i find this site as the best place i visited.though im a revert for 17 years,im still lack of some understanding about what is really haram & halal in islam when it comes to marriage.thats why ive been here everyday studying and reading to broaden my knowledge so as to be a good servant of ALLAH inshallah. now just want to ask coz my lady meet a guy on net but everytime she talk im with her for knowing his information,but alhamdulillah i just read questions and answers pertaining to this and i let this girl to stop communicating coz it says its haram.but if she is alone, how about if she is with her guardian?is it allowed or not?shukran

Wali (Guardian)

Asslamo Allaikum Sister,

Perhaps a more suitable arrangment would be:

1) For the man in question to speak to another man who can be appointed as a Wali (a Guardian) to assist in the matter and conduct matters on the girls's behalf.

2) When things are moving forward then the man in question can actually meet and speak to the Girl that he is intending on marrying but NOT alone in the presence of other Muslim...

I have performed the role i.e. 1 & 2 on behalf of Muslim Sisters who don't want to directly conduct and deal with strangers; so I am sure that you can find someone locally who is trust-worthy.

Please note that it is also safer.
