As in the salaf's works(if there are any), or the works of the earliest ulama or fuqaha. Classical as opposed to Medieval or Modern.

1) But isn't Ibn Taymiyya a medieval alim? Ok, maybe how about I define the classics as this: the ones who formulated the foundation of the Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jama'ah doctrines.
2)Read online for free would suffice.
