Don’t Stare

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Do not stare at a leper.” [Ibn Majah]

A leper is not attractive to look at and hence it is inappropriate that if he passes by a group of people they should stare at him, for this would remind him of his affliction and hurt him further.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) emphasized that people’s psychological conditions and sensitivities be considered.

If you have a wealthy and generous father who keeps you very comfortably while your friend has a poor, hard pressed dad who can hardly fulfill his needs, would it be appropriate for you to speak of your father’s generosity in front of your friend? Wouldn’t this distress your friend and remind him of his hardship? He would not then like to be in your company and feel that you are insensitive.

Consider the effect that your words will have on other people. Don’t say things to elicit jealousy, envy or pain.

Don’t stare at the disfigurement of a person or at their mistake to cause them embarrassment

MashaAllah Sister! That was such a beautiful post! I've always wanted to convey to people how wrong it is to do in fact anything that hurts a fellow human being/muslim. Now I have a hadith to support my advice too MashaAllah! What would have been better! :) :jazaak:
