An inevitable reality that we are all sure to face - death. None of these worldly riches will benefit us in that world but Our Deeds and Allahs Mercy. Our destiny is eventually the grave, but are we prepared? Death can come anytime, as I write this, or as you read this. Are we prepared to face those Angels? Are we prepared to answer their questions in the grave? Will we change with the millions and countless deaths that happen worldwide? We only travellers in this world, the Eternal Abode shall be the Next Insha Allah. The next where we face our Lord and are questioned in regards to every deed, how we went about doing them shamelessly, full of pride, challenging Allahs Glorious Commands.

Insha Allah, if you have time, listen to the words carefully in the below link. I think they are worth being pondered over.

salaam alaykum

right before i prayed maghrib at the masjid, i couldn't stop thinking about death. not because i want to die or anything, but i was wondering whether i was ready or not for death to approach me. it was scary, because i realized that i still need much improvement of myself and i wasn't really ready for death. i pray that ALLAH SWT guide me and make me and all muslims be ready for death when it reaches us. ameen

Brother nyerekareem, I pray the very same. Ameen to your duas. Death is something that just floats at the back of our minds. We know we are sure to face it, yet we do not prepare for it. Instead, we continuously engage in other worldly activites, ones that will not benefit us and we prepare so much for them. You are right, there is so much room for improvement in ourselves that we should realise, its never too late, and to repent. We can never be ready for death, or can we?

You are so right when you say that it is scary. Sometimes when I pray, I think that the angel of death is standing right behind me and awaiting to take my soul. I can not describe the fear that overtakes me, the trembling, sweating and tears. And then thats when I realise how much more time I need to repent, to ask for forgiveness, to prostate before My Lord, to ask for His Mercy.

I pray that our every effort in worship is accepted, and May Allah soften our hearts to shed tears before Him and ask for His forgiveness, as repenting with tears in ones eyes is very Dear to Allah Almighty.

Wa'aleikumsalam warohmatullahi wabarokaatuh,

We're here in this world just as a transit place before we'll move to our eternal world that is 'akheerah'.
i've recent story from someone who went for an overnight camping with his family on a seaside, it's a true story.
In the middle of the night, roughtly about 3am he felt warm, so he went out from the camp and sit on the rock that streaching along the beach.
Suddenly he realised that one of his old friends (from the national svc cadet) was sitting besides him and told him that he wanted to see him. while they were talking he saw his friend's left hand was bleeding so he asked him what had happened on his friend's hand.
his friend only said it was because of the bus driver's fault. during the conversations he said he took awhile to look at the sea but when he turned back to his friend he found his friend already missing.
few days later he saw on the front page of a few days backdated news paper, of the photo of his friend with the header says 'died in Malaysian Highway back from Thailand to S'pore'.

Inna leellahi wa'inna ilahirrajee' uun.
(from Allah we came to Allah we return) - the first person who uttered this prayer was Dzulkarnein/The Saint.
