Assalam Alaikum, well if your talking about like card magic and stuff then that maybe has some sort of science to it, but if your talking about soothsayers then that's not science at all, what the magicians do is try to be so sinful like burning Qur'an and doing the worst sin's. But little do they know the Jinn's are laughing and happy at that, but the Jinn never obey them they just give them the information they ask for or do thing's they ask for because they want them to keep doing sin's.
