:salam2:
I was listening to a lecture on 'Umar Ibn Al Khattab (r) in which the speaker stated that he uprooted the site of Bay'atul Ridhwan in the time of his khilafah in order to prevent the people from shirk, i.e. going there and seeking help from that particular place simply because it was where an important event took place.
Does anybody have any evidence for this since I need to use the example for something.
I cant find any refereces anywhere that he did that apart from the talk I listened to which isnt good enough when you're trying to prove a point.
Any help would be appreciated.
