friday/jumuah salah: fard or wajib or sunnah?

jazaak Allah khair sister hibba ^.

i wanted to confirm it because recently i read about a group which says that as we dont have khillafat, jumuah is not fard. i dont understand frm where these deviated groups get their knowledge frm.
