Why not, there is nothing forbidding it from the Quran and Sunnah. The interaction is between the man and the parents of the girl, which means there has been no khulwa (unrelated boy and girl being alone together).

Please read Sahih Bukhari, Kitab al Hibat, the book of Gifts. - The giving and receiving of gifts, and its etiquette are an important part of our deen, which states importance of accepting gifts.

Evidences should be provided for the establishing of an issue or problem, rather than creating one and then asking for evidence.. Remember our deen, as per the original teachings of the Quran and Sunnah is one of ease.
