Hair Gel

I have a question regarding hair gel. is it permissible for me to appply hair gel or not. the reason i am asking for my wudoo for salaat reason.

as far as i know u are allowed to use hair gel (as long as it doesnt coat you hair). (according to the hanfi mazhab) it is fardh to do masah of quarter of the head.wallahu a'lam
