My local mosque is looking for a reliable and suitable hajj and umrah travel operator for its congregation. I have done my research and contacted many of the Hajj and Umra operators listed on the ministry of Hajj's website. I enquired about fares, experience in business, ATOL and IATA registration, complaints handling procedures and their capacity. I got to know that many expect the hujjaj to arrange for their own travel insurance. Is anyone aware of
(i) an operator that arranges for the travel insurance (other than ATOL and catering to events such as airline cancellations, sickness during travel, legal proceedings, visa delays) of the Hujjaj and if so, which travel insurer do they rely on?
(ii) in the alternative, a suitable and reliable travel insurer who will provide cover during Hajj and Umrah?
