As some of you may know, recently I have been trying to figure out more of what I want to do after college. I know that whatever I am doing must benefit Islam, my community, also allow me some time to be flexible if I have children. Well, I always wanted to teach and Now I am thinking of trying to start a Islamic base private high school. In my area there a like three or four elementary and middle schools but once the students get to high school, they must go back to normal public school, tried to be home school by parents or go out of state.

I am looking for some info that might help me? Such as what kind of classes you took in a day? Was it expensive for your family? what would have been your suggestions for improvement? Of course I can't run school alone but insha'allah I just want to an idea of what I want to do with my life. Anything will be beneficial.

i went to a private islamic high school and it was sooooooooooo beneficial for me! of course when i was at the school i thought it was a prison until i reached yr 11 where i actually realised that it was a really good school. when i went to college and met other people who had just left their high school i realised that mine was probably the best. the teachers were very supportive, in an islamic way as well as in an academic way. i had a laugh throughout just like any high schooler and i also felt very comfortable because i was with my muslim girls. it gave me a thorough understanding of islam which other muslim girls would not know since they werent taught it and im just thankful now that i went to that school and not a normal highschool.

And I glad you enjoy going to private islamic school, yeah my dream is for it to be great school, with extra-curriculum activities, Tajweed, and arabic classes with some traditional classes as well.
