Servant of Allah
:salam2: dear brothers and sisters, sadness and sorrow will not get us anywhere. not now, not ever. it's time we take action...time that we all put our differences aside and look at each other only with one common faith..Islam.
The sad story i'm about to tell is about the war in Somalia. tonight we were listening to a lecture by a shaykh who was tormented by the ethiopian soldiers. This shaykh and other Muslim somali men were taken hostage...the soldiers ripped the top skin, the top layer of the belly, cut the belly open and stuffer garbage inside it. i know it sounds unbelieveable, but please believe me. this is true, i swear by the one who created me. this is reality brothers and sisters. he told of his experience of how others had their livers taken out and died there. anyways they stitched his belly with the garbage inside, eventually he was let go of...not dead but not living well either. he went to kenya and there he was hospitalized. the garbage was taken out and he had an operation done. now he is fine, but he has to live with the painful memory.
i just wanted to share with you this story. this story which is true and which is a reality of some people who are tormented day to day because they are MUSLIM. This is not only in somalia, but palestine, sudan, Iraq...they all have different tormenters who torment them in some way. so always remember and make dua for the suffering brothers and sisters. and remember to stand by their side. asalamu alaykum
