Hello! My name is George and I have started researching Islam. I feel that the Quran makes sense and I am very keen to learn as much as I can. I am not a muslim as yet but I have been trying to make Salaat and Wudu.

I am in Birmingham UK and I was wondering if I could discuss/meet up with any other muslims local in my area.

Hello George. I'm very glad to hear that you are thinking about becoming a muslim.
I would advise you to take the shahadah (say the testimony of faith in islam) as soon as you feel convinced in your heart that there is no God worthy of worship except Allah, and Prophet Muhammad (ص) is the last prophet. That is the first pillar of Islam.
Ma sha Allah Birmingham is a great city with lots of muslims and mosques. I know of a masjid called green lane masjid. I'm sure you can meet brothers there.
