I do not want to go line by line (I'm sure our other brothers and sisters are drafting something for you) because I do not have much time, but I just would like to point one thing. You friend were referring and quoting verses from the Bible to claim Islam as a false religion and deny the Prophet Muhammad (may blessings and peace be upon him) when we muslim reject today's Bible as an authentic source.

He says Qur'an "frequently contradicts the Bible" but did he knows Bible contradicts Bible?

Bible itself contain a lot of errors and contradictions as well as *!*!*!*!ography. How can you use it as your source of argument? (pls refer Izhar ul-Haq attach herewith for details info about Bible)

Islam is the only religion mentioned in the Qur'an, ask him to provide single verse in the Bible that mentioned "Christianity".

    aslam o alikum
brother i dont have much time to go into such a stupid dialogue with this guy, he said that Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) didn't perform any miracles here are some of the miracles on this website
    http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/...h-Ask_Scholar/FatwaE/FatwaE&cid=1119503543470

reason # 2 -- He says that Quran contradicts bible ask him where does it contadict
then ask did Paul say that or Jesus (PBUH) he will probably say paul to check wat he quoted go online on google type red letter bible and when you search check red option and if its something Jesus said in the bible it will be shown in red
correct him muslims say there is no God but Allah we get this from quran,
Quran chapter 112 verse 1 say he is Allah one and only
    Deuteronomy 6:4 (New International Version)
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.
    Mark 12:29 (New International Version)
29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one

    Reason # 3
Ask him where did Jesus say in bible that I am God and workship me ... just this statement, tell me you want a simple statement cuz if he wanted us to do that he wud have told us plaining cuz clearly in
1 Corinthians 14:33 (King James Version)
For God is not the author of confusion

So why wud God confuse us, he wud have just told us plainly like he said in Mark 12:29 about the 1st commandment

Brother i dont have time to go in alot of detail but basically this guy doesn't know much and too much air is cming out of his mouth inshallah someone else on the forum will correct him if not pm me and i will try to get back to u

    Question
Jesus (pbuh) had many miracles like giving life to the dead whereas Muhammad (pbuh) did not do that. So who is greater?
    ANS.
Miracles are always done by the will of ALLAH (swt) by prophets and Jesus (pbuh) also did that with the will of ALLAH (swt). You can not consider any prophet greater having miracles. If this is true then what do you say about prophet Moses (pbuh) who did greater miracle by first making non-living thing (wood) into living thing (snake) and then made him alive (double miracle). This is also mentioned in Quran as well as in Bible.

the only way this guy's argument would make sense is if we muslims believed the bible was 100% accurate. basically much or all of what he said was a matter of opinion. ask that guy if he has read the whole bible. most likely he hasn't, most christians haven't. he'll be shocked at some of the stuff in there.

    Tafsir of Veres 6:37

Allah states that the idolators used to proclaim, "Why does not (Muhammad) bring an Ayah from his Lord,'' meaning, a miracle of their choice! They would sometimes say,

("We shall not believe in you, until you cause a spring to gush forth from the ground for us.'') [17:90]

(Say: "Allah is certainly able to send down a sign, but most of them know not.'') Certainly, Allah is able to send an Ayah (sign). But, He decided out of His wisdom to delay that, because if He sends an Ayah of their liking and they still do not believe, this will hasten their punishment as with the previous nations. Allah said in other Ayat,

And nothing stops Us from sending the Ayat but that the people of old denied them. And We sent the she-camel to Thamud as a clear sign, but they did her wrong. And We sent not the signs except to warn, and to make them afraid (of destruction). 17:59, and,

(If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility) 26:4.

Just ask him how many miracles, did Jesus (pbuh) performed, and how many disciples did he had. 12, thus most of them denied the miracles Jesus (pbuh) performed.

    Verse 6:37 was in response to a particular sign, pagans were asking for at one particular time. Prophet Muahmmad (pbuh) Performed many miracles, i'll mention just a few as one brother has mention others. For example;

    Food Multiplication

    Volume 4, Book 56, Number 780:

    Narrated Jabir:

My father had died in debt. So I came to the Prophet and said, "My father (died) leaving unpaid debts, and I have nothing except the yield of his date palms; and their yield for many years will not cover his debts. So please come with me, so that the creditors may not misbehave with me." The Prophet went round one of the heaps of dates and invoked (Allah), and then did the same with another heap and sat on it and said, "Measure (for them)." He paid them their rights and what remained was as much as had been paid to them.

    Water Multiplication
    Volume 4, Book 56, Number 779:

    Narrated 'Abdullah:

We used to consider miracles as Allah's Blessings, but you people consider them to be a warning. Once we were with Allah's Apostle on a journey, and we ran short of water. He said, "Bring the water remaining with you." The people brought a utensil containing a little water. He placed his hand in it and said, "Come to the blessed water, and the Blessing is from Allah." I saw the water flowing from among the fingers of Allah's Apostle , and no doubt, we heard the meal glorifying Allah, when it was being eaten (by him).

    Volume 4, Book 56, Number 777:

    Narrated Al-Bara:

We were one-thousand-and-four-hundred persons on the day of Al-Hudaibiya (Treaty), and (at) Al-Hudaibiya (there) was a well. We drew out its water not leaving even a single drop. The Prophet sat at the edge of the well and asked for some water with which he rinsed his mouth and then he threw it out into the well. We stayed for a short while and then drew water from the well and quenched our thirst, and even our riding animals drank water to their satisfaction.

    Supplication for Rain

    Volume 8, Book 73, Number 115:

    Narrated Anas:

A man came to the Prophet on a Friday while he (the Prophet) was delivering a sermon at Medina, and said, "There is lack of rain, so please invoke your Lord to bless us with the rain." The Prophet looked at the sky when no cloud could be detected. Then he invoked Allah for rain. Clouds started gathering together and it rained till the Medina valleys started flowing with water. It continued raining till the next Friday. Then that man (or some other man) stood up while the Prophet was delivering the Friday sermon, and said, "We are drowned; Please invoke your Lord to withhold it (rain) from us" The Prophet smiled and said twice or thrice, "O Allah! Please let it rain round about us and not upon us." The clouds started dispersing over Medina to the right and to the left, and it rained round about Medina and not upon Medina. Allah showed them (the people) the miracle of His Prophet and His response to his invocation.

These a just a few of hundreds of miracles performed by Prophet Muahmmad (phuh), but should suffice.

    There are occasions in the bible where Jesus refused to give signs;

    One occasion where is refused completely was;

    Scripture: Mark 8:11-13

11 The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, to test him. 12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation." 13 And he left them, and getting into the boat again he departed to the other side.

On other occasion he refused to give a particular sign

    Mathew 38-40

38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

So there are occasions where Jesus (pbuh) refused to give signs. Coming back to Quran, Calling the Qur'an amazing (miraculous) is not something done only by Muslims,; it has been labeled amazing by non-Muslims as well. In fact, even people who hate Islam (William Muir being one) very much have still called it amazing.

Speaking about the Quran, Goethe says, "It soon attracts, astounds, and in the end enforces our reverence... Its style, in accordance with its contents and aim is stern, grand - ever and always, truly sublime - So, this book will go on exercising through all ages a most potent influence."
    [Goethe - quoted in T. P. Huges "Dictionary of Islam", p. 526]

"The Koran (Quran) admittedly occupies an important position among the great religious books of the world. Though it is the youngest of the epoch making works belonging to this class of literature, it yields to hardly any in the wonderful effect which it has produced on large masses of men. It has created an all but new phase of human thought and a fresh type of character. It first transformed a number of heterogeneous desert tribes of the Arabian Peninsula into a nation of heroes, and then proceeded to create the vast politico-religious organizations of Muslims world wide which are one of the great forces with which Europe and the East have to reckon with today."
[G. Maragliouth in his Introduction to J. M. Rodwells - 'The Koran", New York - 'Everyman's Library, 1977, p VI]

"A work, then, which calls forth so powerful and seemingly incompatible emotions even in the distant reader - distant as to time, and still more so as mental development - a work which not only conquers the repugnance which he may begin its perusal, but changes this adverse feeling into astonishment and admiration, such a work must be a wonderful production... indeed and a problem of the highest interest to every thoughtful observer of the destinies of mankind."
[Dr Steingass quoted in T. P. Hughes - "Dictionary of Islam", pp 256-257]

"It is impossible that Muhammad (peace be upon him) authored the Quran. How could a man, from being illiterate, become the most important author, in terms of literary merits, in the whole of Arabic literature? How could he then pronounce truths of a scientific nature that no other human-being could possibly have developed at that time, an all this without once making the slightest error in his pronouncement on the subject?"
[Dr. Maurice Bucaille - author of "The Bible, the Quran and Science" 1978, p. 125]

"Here, therefore, its merits as a literary production should perhaps not be measured by some preconceived maxims of subjective and aesthetic taste, but by the effects which it produced in Muhammad's contemporaries and fellow countrymen. If it spoke so powerfully and convincingly to the hearts of his hearers as to weld hitherto centrifugal and antagonistic elements into one compact and well organized body, animated by ideas far beyond those which had until now ruled the Arabian mind, then its eloquence was perfect, simply because it created a civilized nation out of savage tribes, and shot a fresh woof into the old warp of history"
[Dr. Steingass, quoted in Hughes' Dictionary of Islam p. 528]

"In making the present attempt to improve on the performance of my predecessors, and to produce something which might be accepted as echoing however faintly the sublime rhetoric of the Arabic Koran, I have been at pain to study the intricate and richly varied rhythms which - apart from the message itself - constitute the Koran's undeniable claim to rank amongst the greatest literary masterpieces of mankind.. This very characteristic feature - 'that inimitable symphony', as the believing Pickthall described his Holy Book, 'the very sounds of which move men to tears and ecstasy' has been almost totally ignored by previous translators; it is therefore not surprising that what they have wrought sounds dull and flat indeed in comparison with the splendidly decorated original.."
[Arthur J. Arberry - "The Koran Interpreted", London: Oxford University Press . 1964, p. x.]

"A totally objective examination of it [the Quran] in the light of modern knowledge leads us to recognize the agreement between the two, as has been already noted on repeated occasions. It makes us deem it quite unthinkable for a man of Muhammad's time to have been the author of such statements, on account of the state of knowledge in his day. Such considerations are part of what gives the Qur'anic Revelation its unique place, and forces the impartial scientist to admit his inability to provide and explanation which calls solely upon materialistic reasoning."
[Dr. Maurice Bucaille in his book: "The Bible, The Quran and Science" 1981, p. 18]

    Prophecies by Prophet Muahammad (pbuh).

Examples of the Prophet’s predictions which exist in books of hadeeths

1 ‘Umar reports in a narration recorded in Sahih al-Muslim:

‘Before the Battle of Badr started, God’s Messenger, upon him be peace and blessings, walked around the battlefield and pointed to some locations, saying, Abu Jahl will be killed here, ‘Utba here, Shayba here, Walid here, and so on. By God, we found, after the battle, the dead bodies of all those men in the exact places that God’s Messenger had pointed out.’

While in Makka under great tortures, the Prophet predicted the future victories of Islam

    2. Bukhari and Abu Dawud quote Habbab ibn Arat, who said:

Once, during the days of trouble and torture in Makka, I went to God’s Messenger, who was sitting in the shade of the Ka‘ba. I was still a slave in the hands of the Makkans then. They inflicted on me severe tortures. Unable to endure those tortures any more, I requested God’s Messenger to pray to God for help and salvation. But he turned towards me and said:

By God, previous communities had to endure more pitiless tortures. Some of them were made to lie in ditches and cut in two with saws but this did not make them forsake their faith. They were skinned alive but they never became weak against the enemy. Surely God will perfect this religion, but you display undue haste. A day will come when a woman will travel alone by herself from San’a to Hadramawt fearing nothing but wild beasts. However, you show impatience.

    Habbab concluded:

By God, what God’s Messenger predicted that day, have all come true. I have personally witnessed it all.

The Messenger predicted ‘Ammar’s martyrdom in a civil war

    3. Bukhari, Muslim and Ahmad ibn Hanbal record:

During the construction of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina, God’s Messenger, upon him be peace and blessings, told ‘Ammar:

What a pity O ‘Ammar, a rebellious group will kill you.

‘Ammar was killed in the Battle of Siffin by the supporters of Mu‘awiya, who rebelled against Caliph ‘Ali.

The Prophet foretold that Fatima would join him first of all after his death

    4. Before his death, the Messenger called his daughter Fatima to his bedside and informed her that she would be the first among his family to join him after his death. Fatima joined her father, the pride of mankind, six months later.

The Prophet predicted the Mongol invasion

    5. The Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, predicted the Mongol invasion, saying:

The Hour will not come before you fight against a people with red faces, small, slant eyes and flat noses. They wear hairy leather boots.

The Messenger predicted the caliphate of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar

    6. As related by Hakim, Tirmidhi, Ibn Hanbal and Ibn Maja, by repeatedly declaring, You should, after my death, follow the way of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, the Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, meant that Abu Bakr and ‘Umar would succeed him as caliphs. He also predicted that Abu Bakr’s reign would be short, whereas ‘Umar would remain longer to be able to make many conquests.

The Prophet predicted the conquest of many important cities

    7. According to authentic narrations, the Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, gave his community the glad tidings that they would conquer Damascus, Jerusalem, Iraq, Persia, Istanbul (Constantinople) and Cyprus, and that the religion of Islam would reach as far as the remotest corners of the world in the east and west.

The Prophet predicted the forms of government after him

    8. The Prophet declared:

This affair began with Prophethood and as a mercy; then it will be mercy and Caliphate; afterwards it will change into a cruel monarchy, and finally into an iniquity and tyranny. He also prophesied: Surely, the Caliphate after me will last thirty years; afterwards it will a cruel monarchy.

Whatever the noble Prophet predicted came true.

The Prophet predicted the caliphate and martyrdom of ‘Uthman

    9. According to an authentic narration, the Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, declared:

‘Uthman will be killed while reading the Qur’an. God will dress him in a shirt but they will desire to remove it from him.

By this saying, he meant that ‘Uthman would become Caliph but his deposition would be sought, and finally he would be martyred while reading the Qur’an. This happened exactly as he predicted.

The Prophet foretold the future victories of Sa‘d

    10. As narrated in a authentic Tradition, the noble Prophet of God, upon him be peace and blessings, said to Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas when the latter was gravely ill:

It is hoped that you will be spared so that some people may benefit through you and some others be harmed through you.

By this, he suggested that Sa‘d would be a great commander and make many conquests, and while many peoples would benefit from him by converting to Islam, many others would be harmed through him as a result of the collapse of their states.

Sa‘d, just as predicted by the holy Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, took the command of the Muslim armies and destroyed the Persian Sassanid Empire, bringing many peoples within the guidance of Islam.

The Prophet predicted the conquest of Cyprus

    11. Once, when the Prophet woke up in the house of Umm Haram, the aunt of Anas ibn Malik, who served the Messenger for ten years in Madina, he smilingly said:

I dreamt that my community would be waging war in the sea sitting on thrones like kings.

Umm Haram asked: ‘Pray that I too may be with them’. He said firmly: You shall be.

All this came true forty years later when Umm Haram accompanied her husband ‘Ubada ibn Samit, on the conquest of Cyprus. She died there, and her tomb has since been a visited place.

The Prophet predicted the appearance of Mukhtar and Hajjaj

    12. According to an authentic narration, the Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, declared:

From the tribe of Thaqif will appear a liar who claims Prophethood and a blood-thirsty tyrant.

By this, he gave tidings of the notorious Mukhtar, who claimed Prophethood, and the criminal Hajjaj, who killed tens of thousands of people.

The Prophet predicted the conquest of Istanbul

    13. Again, according to an authentic narration, the Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, declared:

Surely, Constantinople (Istanbul) will be conquered (by my community); how blessed the commander who will conquer it, and how blessed his army.

He thus foretold the conquest of Istanbul by Muslims, and indicated the high spiritual rank of Sultan Mehmed, the Conqueror, and the virtuousness of his army. What he foretold took place centuries later.

The Prophet mentioned that there would be signs forewarning the approach of the last day.

    a. The barefooted bedouins competing in building tall buildings. Today we find in the Arabian Peninsula, the Arabs who used to be impoverished herders of camels and sheep, are competing in building the tallest tower blocks. Two of the latest examples are Kingdom Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Al Faisaliah Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (see http://skyscraperpage.com/new/kingdomcenter.htm, http://skyscraperpage.com/new/alfaisaliahcenter.htm)

    b. The Mosques would be like palaces. This is clearly the case, even though the Prophet ordered simplicity in the houses of Allah, the mosques have become more and more fantastic, with golden domes, marbled floors, lavish carpets and chandeliers. (see http://home.mweb.co.za/ka/kayef/images/masjinabi.jpg)

    c. Disappearance of trustworthiness, so much so that one would only be able to say: "I know a trustworthy person in such-and-such town."

    d. The increase in killing, so that the one who kills does not know why he killed, and the one killed does not know why he was killed. I was recently sent an article from the Washington Post about the rise of gang warfare. Part of the initiation ceremony was for a new gang member(some times as young as eleven) to shoot someone. The second highest cause of death from fifteen to thirty five in the US are gun related. The massacre of civilians in the Vietnam War by American troops who had little idea why they were there, and the increase of such conflicts, is further illustration of the fulfillment of this prophecy. As are the rise of insane mass murders, of children killing children, such as Jamie Bulger.

    e. The increase of the use of riba (usury/interest) so that no one will able to escape being tainted by it. This clearly the state of the world economy today.

    f. The enemies of the Muslims dividing the Muslim's wealth and lands between them, the Muslims abandoning jihad, and concerning themselves only with the worldly matters. We have already mentioned this.

    g. The increase of literacy.

    h. The decrease of religious knowledge due to the disappearance of scholars.

    i. The increase of musical instruments, and the Muslims making it lawful even though the Prophet has forbidden them.

    j. The increase of sexual promiscuity, and new diseases that people had not herd of before spreading amongst them as a consequence of that. This is clear, with the arrival of AIDS, and other previously unheard of viruses.

    k. Appearance of Dajjals (liars), each claiming to be a Messenger of Allah, while Muhammad is the last messenger. There are numerous examples of this, starting with Musailima, who arose in the time of the Prophet, just before his death, to more modern liars such as Elija Muhammad, founder of the Black American racist movement "The Nation of Islam", and India's pretender Gulam Ahmed of Qadian.

    l. Nakedness of women while still being dressed and people copulating like donkeys in public. Obviously a direct reference to soft and hard-core *!*!*!*!ography, which has become a dark stain on our society in recent times.

    m. The drinking of wine becoming common, and the Muslims making it lawful by calling it another name.

    n. Shouting in the mosques and lack of unity.

    o. The worst and most ignorant will become leaders and they will be oppressors. Bill Clinton, saddam Hussain and majority of worlds Leaders are prime examples.

    p. A man will obey his wife and disobey his mother, and treat his friends kindly and shun his father.

    q. Men will wear silk and gold, and the making of it lawful by the Muslims even though the Prophet had forbidden it for the men of his 'Ummah (nation).

    r. People will abandon the religion for a small worldly gain, and keeping to the religion will be like holding two hot coals.

    Conclusion

How is it that even though the Prophet made all these prophecies, Christian missionaries are still trying to reject the prophetic mission of Muhammad (pbuh). Ever since the advent of Islam, Christians have been unable to challenge the teachings of Islam, therefore they have had to try and resort to lies and distortions of the Holy Qur’an in order to support their claims.

    But they to them;

And say: "Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood
is (by its nature) bound to perish." (Qur’an 17.81)

There is no denying the fact there are many occasions there are conflicts between Quran and he Bible. But just because one book predates another, it doesnt mean, it true. We still havent established which book is true, but we will do so Inshallah. Let find some conflicts between bible and the Quran and than look at outside source. Let us find from an external source which one is right/true.

    Flood of Noah

Bible states entire world was flooded, flood described in Quran was not worldwide, but a regional one that only punished the tribe that rejected Noah (Nuh).

archaeological record proves that there was never a worldwide flood, but doesnt disqualify the possibility of a regional one.

Bible refers to king during Moses (pbuh) time as pharaoh, Quran refers it to as pharaon or Fir'aun. (i.e. with an N or noon in arabic).

Bible uses the title for all the kings of acient times as pharaoh, where as Quran refer to just the king during Moses (pbuh) time as Phoran.

As it happens, the historical writings of Herodotus, the Greek historian, oldest to this day, and Herodotus comments on the ruler of Egypt, being in his day and in the centuries before him, one man who went by the title of Fir'aun. In addition it was used just for one man unlike what bible claims.

    Source:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharaoh

Pharaoh is a title used in many modern discussions of the ancient Egyptian rulers of all periods. In antiquity this title began to be used for the ruler who was the religious and political leader of united ancient Egypt, only during the New Kingdom, specifically, during the middle of the eighteenth dynasty. For simplification, however, there is a general acceptance among modern writers to use the term to relate to all periods.

The term pharaoh"الفرعون" ultimately was derived from a compound word represented as pr-`3, used only in larger phrases such as smr pr-`3 'Courtier of the High House', with specific reference to the buildings of the court or palace itself.[3] From the twelfth dynasty onward the word appears in a wish formula 'Great House, may it live, prosper, and be in health', but again only with reference to the royal palace and not the person.

Check the Arabic (it ends with a noon i.e. N rather than H), "الفرعون"

There are other such examples these should suffice for the time being. Others can contribute if them wish to,

A Muslim believes in the religion of Jesus but sees mainline Christianity as a religion constructed about Jesus.

We say belief in the Trinity can only be based on Church authority. Many Christians admit that this is the case while others insist that the teaching was elaborated by Jesus himself. "Let them produce their proof," is the repeated admonition of the Qur'an, that is, "provide the documentation that Jesus himself claimed unqualified deity," (Qur'an 21:24). Unless this evidence can be produced, authorities are subject to challenge.

For Christians, the only documents accepted as reporting the words of Jesus are the accounts given in the Bible. Qur'anic verse, "Say: 'O People of the Book! You have no ground to stand upon unless you stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." (Qur'an 5:71). Christians are advised to support their claims by citing their books. Thus Muslims believe that no saying of Jesus can be produced which shows him grasping at equality with God. The primary issue is not whether Jesus is God. The first question is whether he said that he was equal to God.

    "Let them produce their proof,"

I suggest you listen to Gary Miller's lecture 'A Concise reply to christanity' - reply to questions he will ask you are already there, there are about 12-15 verses he will quote and answers are there.

Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years piece by piece. Not drinking while prayer didnt not meant they were allowed to drink at other time, they were reminded not to be drunk while praying.

Is there any one who would say that the benefits of wine exceed its bad effects.

Maybe brothers and sister can contribute more, Its nearly 1:30 in the morning I am trying to rush though it.

Narrated Abdullah bin Qais: "Allah's Apostle said, "Two gardens, the utensils and the contents of which are of silver, and two other gardens, the utensils and contents of which are of gold. Here is the contradiction I was talking about; Compare point # 6 to Point 2:

He said: Islam cannot be from God because Muhammad's teaching does not pass the second test God gave for a prophet. Deuteronomy 13:1-4 tells us that no prophet will bring a revelation that is in conflict with previous revelation. His revelation must agree with the previous revelation of God. Deuteronomy 13:1-4

Does New Testatment pass the test according to his claims, clearly in Old Testament Killing was allowed, he is saying new testament doesnt allow killing, thus according to Deuteronomy 13:1-4, New testament is not word of God.

Secondly one what grounds does he make these fancy claims, after all how much do me know about the life of Jesus (pbuh) from biblical records. Biblical records about Jesus includes only two weeks and 40 days in bewilderness. After allowing for duplication all the saying of the Jesus (pbuh) can be printed in less than two columns of a newspaper. Reffer to red letter bible

    A Prophet like Moses

In the Bible, in Deuteronomy chapter eighteen, we have the words of Moses who reports that God told him that He would raise up a prophet, from among the brothers of the Israelites, like Moses.

    Note: Some of the later version of the bible have changed it slightly to 'from amongst Israelites' , however the deceit is obvious. Kings James version of the bible is the oldest; it states;

18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

    http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/kjv/deu018.htm#018

Christians wish to apply this to Jesus, to say he was the prophet like Moses. It is uncomfortable for them to recognise, however, that Jesus was not very much like Moses and Jesus had no father, no wife, no children; he did not die of old age, and he did not lead a nation; all these things Moses had or did. But they say, well, Jesus will return; he will return as a victorious person, and so he will be more like Moses. Do they really expect he will return to also acquire a father and a wife and children and then die of old age? Not usually. Moreover, Jesus was an Israelite. The passage of scripture says that this prophet that was foretold would be raised up among the brothers of the Israelites, not from the Israelites.

In the third chapter of Acts, the disciple Peter speaks to a crowd of people and explains that Jesus has been taken up and he is in heaven. He will remain in Heaven and he cannot return until all the things that were promised by God come to pass. So what are we still waiting for, does he tell the crowd? He quotes this very saying of Moses, saying.

"For God will raise up a prophet from among the brothers of the Israelites like Moses..."

The point is very clear. Christians like to see this prophet as being Jesus. But read carefully Acts chapter three, what it says is that Jesus awaits a return. He cannot return until the fulfilment of this prophecy that another prophet has to come.

Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Jesus spoke of it himself and the words survived, just barely, but they survived in the Bible. Jesus spoke of God sending another "Paraclete".

    Paraclete

There is a lot of argument over the meaning of this word "Paraclete". For now we can leave that aside. What is a "Paraclete"? It does not matter. The first letter of John shows that Jesus was a "Paraclete". He is called a "Paraclete" and we have Jesus promising another "Paraclete" is going to be sent.

We lose a lot by this word "another" in English because it is ambiguous. If someone’s car breaks down, and it is a Toyota, and I say, "I'II go and get you another car," maybe I mean, "I'II go and get you another Toyota because this one you have is broken," or maybe I mean, "Forget Toyota, they're no good; I'II go and get you a Datsun." It is an ambiguous word.

But the Greeks had a word for it. When they meant "another" of the same kind, they said aloes. When they meant another of a different kind, they said heteroes. The important thing here is that, when Jesus, who was himself a Paraclete, said "God will send you another Paraclete" he used the word aloes, not heteroes.

Christians want to say that this other "Paraclete" that has been sent was different from Jesus. It was not a man, it was a spirit. What Jesus said was: "God will send you another one like me, another man." Muslims believe that Muhammad is the fulfilment of this prophecy by Jesus. The Qur'an says that this man is mentioned in the scriptures of the Jews and the Christians (see 7:157).

Christians came to expect the return of Jesus because of a Jewish misunderstanding. "Messiah" and "Son of Man" have been given special significance by the Jews, even though many people were called by this same name as in the Bible. The Jews came to expect a victorious leader. When Jesus did not turn out to be quite what many expected, they hatched the idea that he would return some day and fulfill all these prophecies.

    Followers of Jesus

Suppose that someone observed Jesus two-thousand years ago, and he left this planet, or he went to sleep for two-thousand years and returned today to look for the followers of Jesus, who would he find? Who would he recognise? Christians? I conclude with just this food for thought: the Bible says very clearly that Jesus used to fast. Do Christians fast? Muslims fast; it is obligatory one month every year. The Bible says that Jesus prayed by touching his forehead to the ground. Do Christians pray in this manner? Muslims do. It is characteristic of their prayer and no one on earth is probably ignorant of that fact.

According to Jesus, he told his disciples to greet one another with the expression, "Peace be with you." Do the Christians do that? Muslims do, universally, whether they speak Arabic or not. The greeting for one to another is Assalamu'alaikum (peace be with you).

The brother of Jesus in the Book of James, stated that no man should suggest what he is about to do or highlight his plans for the next few days in anyway without adding the phrase "if God wills." Do not say "I will go here and there, do this and that" without adding the phrase "if God wills." Do Christians do that? Muslims do, whether they speak Arabic or not. If they so much as suggest they are going downtown to pick up some groceries, they will add, Insha-Allah, which in Arabic means, "If God wills."

That is a contradistinction and not a contradiction. Reply is qiven my many, I'll mention one by M. Abdullah.

wonder, if three bakers were to come visit the author of this list and one were to say: "Bread is made from flour," the next were to say "bread is made from dough" and the third were to say: "Bread is made from wheat," if he would consider this a "contradiction" too?

If two physicists now came along and one said "bread is made from atoms" and the other said "bread is made from molecules," would this be an even further "contradiction"?

The blood of all living creatures is composed of 55 percent plasma, which in turn is composed of more than 90 percent water. As opposed to 1400 centuries ago when the Qur'an was first revealed by God, today it is a well known fact that the major "ingredient" in the human body is water (a matter emphasized ONLY in the Qur'an and not in the Bible). It is further very well known that mankind is made from "dust" (when you place his body in the grave and leave it for a number of years, and the water evaporates, what form does his body revert to? Further, what is "clay"? Is it not a special form of water and dust? It is equally obvious that if God created everything then there must have been a time when everything we see was "nothing," including humans.

However, our current author severely dislikes all Muslims and is bent on discovering "contradictions." The irony of the matter is that although he has no formal knowledge of these matters but manages to brand all of these statements to be "contradictory," in spite of that, when truly objective and unbiased Christian scholars who are world renown specialist in this field are presented with the very same verses and many more, and spend over three years studying them in detail, we find these world renown Christian scholars so totally amazed at their accuracy in matters which were only scientifically proven in the last twenty years that they found no recourse but to admit that it must have come from God and even to go so far as to suggest the total replacement of current scientific terminology with that used by God in the Qur'an. But they is saying this with regard to the Muslim Qur'an and not their own Christian Bible. Who are some of these men? Among them are Prof. Keith Moore, Prof. E. Marshall Johnson, Prof. Joe Leigh Simpson, Prof. T.V.N. Persaud , Dr. Maurice Bucaille, and Dr. Tejatet Tejasen to name but a few. Let us learn a little more about these men and then hear what they have to say in this regard:

Dr. Keith L. Moore is a Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. He is a world renowned scientist and a distinguished researcher in the fields of anatomy and embryology, he has published more than 150 research articles, chapters and books in this field. He is the author of several medical textbooks, such as the widely used and acclaimed "The Developing Human: Clinically oriented Embryology" (now in its fifth edition, translated into eight different languages, and the standard textbook on this science in many countries), "Before We Are Born" and "Clinically Oriented Anatomy." He has also recently co-authored "Qur'an and Modern Science, Correlation Studies." Dr. Moore is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including, in 1984, the J.C.B. Grant Award, which is the highest honor granted by the Canadian Association of Anatomists. He has served in many academic and administrative positions, including the President of the Canadian Association of Anatomists, 1968-1970. Let us see what Dr. Moore's opinion is on the scientific statements regarding embryology to be found in the Qur'an:

Dr. Moore was contacted by a Muslim scholar by the name of Abdul-Majeed Azzindani. He was asked to participate in a three-year study of around twenty-five verses of the Qur'an and the Sunnah (sayings of Muhammad, pbuh) which speak about embryology, and to determine the degree of their correspondence to modern scientific discoveries. Dr. Moore's conclusion regarding this matter was For the past three years, I have worked with the Embryology Committee of King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, helping them to interpret the many statements in the Qur'an and the Sunnah referring to human reproduction and prenatal development. At first I was astonished by the accuracy of the statements that were recorded in the seventh century AD, before the science of embryology was established. Although I was aware of the glorious history of Muslim scientists in the 10th century AD, and of some of their contributions to Medicine, I new nothing about the religious facts and beliefs contained in the Qur'an and Sunnah. It is important for Islamic and other students to understand the meaning of these Qur'anic statements about human development, based on current scientific knowledge. The interpretations of the "verses" in the Qur'an and the Sunnah, translated by Shaikh Azzindani, are to the best of my knowledge accurate."

    What does Bible say;

    Genesis 2:7-9

7 the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Bible says man was made out of dust, so he will agree on that, however its a scientific fact that other substances mentioned above in the Quran, water etc are there.

    This is a very important Point: Quran state;

"Have they not considered the Qur'an, if it came, other than Allah, surely they will find in it many inconsistencies?" (4:82)

He agrees, word of God should not contain contradictions; what does he have to say about these contradictions in the bible.

Argument that Quran is false, because it contradicts bible is explained above. Point '9 contradicts his point #2.

mashallah brother mhamzah :) very very beautiful answers Im really happy someone answered i had exams going on but even i cudn't answer so beautifully and detailed I just wanted to add something to your comment about drinking

The concept of alcohol being Bad has been found in bible too, it tells people they Should not have Alcohol

    Proverbs 20:1 (New International Version)
    Proverbs 20
    1 Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler;
whoever is led astray by them is not wise.

    Ephesians 5:18 (New International Version)
18Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery.

But the strict restriction as 0 alcohol was not there so that was order later cuz clearly alcohol was alot more bad effect than bad, :) i just wanted to add what my brother was talking here
    take care
    Again beautiful answers brother

First of all Quran does not say Judas was replaced.

The fact that Jesus (pbuh) was crucified was considered a heresiey (a lie told by someone) with the community. This is something which Bible scholars themselves admitt, there is a book that every Christian minister must have read i.e. 'Early Christian doctine' by J. Kelly (I'll have to double check the book name), it states that crucification was a heresiey.

Bible accounts regarding crucification contradicts in virtually every details. No disciple of Jesus (pbuh) was present during the crucifiction.

Maybe other can contribute a bit more.

MashaAllah may Allah rewaed you and increase your knowledge even more, ameen. I agree with you but I like to add something. The so called sayings of Jesus(as) in the New Testament can not be trusted either because the 4 Gospels were written by followers of Pauline theology. If we were to apply the sciences of hadiths to verify the Bible, it would be disqualifies in 5 minutes at most.
