Help with Uncle

:salam2:

I was praying my quran today and my uncle walked in, he picked up my
english translation and said "who's Marmaduke Pickthall?". He said you
shouldn't just pick an english translation of the quran and follow it, I agreed
with him. But it's been a while since I had the translation and I read
somewhere that this was a good translation. He also asked me which
masjid I "follow", because there are 2 masjids near us, one is a so called "sunni" mosque and the other is "wahhabi". He said I should get all my Islamic books from India he said the name of someone, it was a long name.
He goes to the sunni masjid and will be celebrating the Prophet (SAW) birthday. He said that the Wahhabis say that the Prophet (SAW) was a human being like us but when Allah created the world, He also created the Prophet (SAW) as noor.

I don't follow any of the masjids, I just follow the Quran and Ahadith.
My uncle didn't stay for long so we couldn't talk properly. But I wanted to
know what can I say to him next time we meet?

Jazakh Allah for your help.

ASsalamoelaikoem warahmatullahi wbarakatuh,

There is no one who calls himself Wahabi. Do you know someone who calls himself Allahi . Wahaab is de name of Allah all praise is due to Him.

This means your uncle is in big error to call someone Wahabi.

Mostly the suffies and shia call the practising brothers and sisters Wahabis.

May Allah protect us..my advice to you is: "don't listen to your uncle"

Salaam oelaikoem warahmatullahi wbarakatuh
